Lee Petcher
A Northern. Pint-sized cheeky chappy #actor. Represented by: Lucy Richardson at Atius Management
Lee Petcher was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and later settled in Manchester. Growing up in Bradford, in a working-class home, he was inspired by his father, a guitarist, and his brother's success in school plays. Initially aspiring to be a doctor, Lee discovered his passion for acting during his time at Whitcliffe Mount Upper School, where he portrayed "Cookie" in the school musical 'Return T
🚨 IMPORTANT MESSAGE 🚨
I apologise for the length but if you feel this year hasn’t gone your way I would urge you to read it!
This is about the time on social media when everyone will start posting all their ‘wins’ for the year, and this is GREAT - I am so pleased & proud of all of you for your successes. I celebrate them with you, (I really do mean it).
However, it is easy to start to compare yourself with others too. You see that some have been working, what looks like, non-stop this year & you beat yourself up. Or others have got their 1st job but you didn’t and this can make you feel down.
So, let me share my year.
First the wins:-
✅ I had 8 self-tape auditions, 2 for commercials and 6 for TV. That’s 1 every other month.
✅ I was pencilled for one of the commercial roles.
✅ I booked a role on TV that’s already better than last year.
Now the losses (as they are factually):-
❌ 7 auditions I didn’t book, both of the commercials and the 5 TV jobs.
❌ 0 in the room auditions.
❌ I wasn’t even seen for many of the TV projects out there, including some set in my home town.
I know some actors will be saying - “That’s more than me.” “I didn’t audition as much.” “I didn’t even book a role!” and will be feeling down. (This was exactly where I was last year - not as many auditions and no role). I get you and I sympathise.
However - I also compare to others.
A friend of mine had 14 auditions this year (more than 1 a month) and booked 5 roles (Almost 1 every two months). My year looks rubbish in comparison.
We are ALL at different stages in our lives and careers. We are all running our own races. (Even though I’m not a fan) there’s a reason why they put blinkers on horses when they run a race - it’s so they only focus on what’s ahead of them and not what every other horse is doing.
As long as you are doing your best that’s all that matters!
A huge thank you to my agent Atius Management for all their hard work behind the scenes securing me these auditions. And to everyone who has supported me this past year - including my wife Emma Petcher who has been my rock!
The cat is well and truly out of the bag now!
I am so pleased to say that I am now represented by the wonderful Lucy Richarson at Atuis Management!
Along with my new agent - I have also had new headshots done by the talented James Melia Photography!
New agent, new headshots - new showreel incoming can only mean new year new me in 2023!
That’s a MASSIVE goal achieved - my 1st EVER TV role, & on one of the nations most loved serial drama’s as well - Coronation Street!
I truly have had the time of my life, from being asked to audition, to being on set right up to watching myself of the screen - it still feels surreal!
It was a huge honour to be part of this amazing story line, I’m so proud to have played even a small role in such an important issue.
I always felt like a fraud when I told people I was an actor, or even when talking with other actors because I hadn’t been on TV yet, I thought about giving up because I wasn’t getting anywhere, I needed the validation that someone trusts me enough on set, well I can 💯 say that’s gone (for the moment) no more seeking other people’s approval, no more imposter syndrome, I’m here to play and I’m here to stay!
As much as a huge achievement this is, I’m not gonna rest on my laurels, I’m just getting started - now here’s to my next role - Emmerdale, Hollyoaks I’m coming for ya!
Just in case you've missed all my millions of posts about it so far lol, tonight is the night I make my TV debut & I couldn't be more excited and nervous at the same time!
I've worked so hard for this moment, and hopefully it's just the beginning.
If you are free at 7:30pm I'd be super honoured if you could give it a watch - you don't even have to leave your sofa!
It’s getting close now!
Just wanted to leave this here as a reminder that you can catch my episode of street live tomorrow on ITV at 19:30.
Or apparently, you can watch it NOW over on the ITV hub.
Thank you all so much for your continued love and support I really am overwhelmed by all the comments and messages I keep getting.
I'm so frickin' happy to announce that later today I will be filming my 1st EVER TV role on Coronation Street 🎬
I still can't believe it!
Huge thanks to everyone who has ever supported me, taught me, cast me, directed me, acted alongside me, and all my past agents for believing in me, it means the world!
A massive thanks to my agent CATE NORTHERN for securing this role and fighting for me🎭
Act On This - The TV Actors' Network, for the knowledge you given me 🖥
Chris Stone, for a killer showreel 🎥& Tony Blake, for the best headshots 📸.
Also to my loving and supportive fiancée Emma Drysdale who’s had to pick me up so many times when I was down ❤️.
Lastly to my Mum & Dad, who are no longer here, I hope I did you proud 🥲.
I’m acting like this is a major role in the soap, it’s not, but it’s a major event in my life, & appreciation where appreciation is due!
At the beginning of last year I made a deal with myself saying, “If I don’t get a paid tv role this year I’m out of the game!” It was 10 years since I went professional & if I didn’t make it by then it wasn’t gonna happen. Then covid hit - so that put a brick in the works. So I decided to make this year the “Get a TV role or quit!” year.
The start of the year was bleak - haven’t had a self-tape in over a year, I was prepared to stop my Spotlight payment and everything, then boom 💥...
I get a call asking for a self-tape for Corrie, then boom 💥 I get a call saying 🎊I got the role🎊.
Needless to say I’m sticking around - to ALL the actors I know out there that was thinking the same as me, you’ve got this! You don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes! Hang in there! And I’m here if you need to talk.
I couldn’t end this post without saying a massive thank you to Micky Jones! I appreciate everything you’ve done.
My entry for Do or Die Studios .
Moving On written by Joe Groves - hope I did ya proud?
Huge thanks to my reader Emma Drysdale - couldn't have done it without ya.

I got a little creative yesterday so I recorded myself (and edited myself) performing My Shot from the hit musical - 'Hamilton'
I know I'll never get to play this role, so I thought I'd do this just for fun - as I'm not throwing away my shot!
Creatives keep on being creative!
(I do not own the rights to any of the music or lyrics)
It's been a while since I exercised my acting chops - mainly editing content for Act On This - The TV Actors' Network!
So I got the camera & lights out today & by the time I set them up I learnt this speech from !
What if Silent Bob was from Yorkshire Kevin Smith?
🎬
I got bored over lockdown so decided to get my showreel updated!
What do ya think?
😂🤣🎥
A demo reel of my acting ability.
Not shared any of my acting stuff for a while so I’ve dug out 2 stage combat scenes I did in class and edited them together for your viewing pleasure.
Sorry about the ‘roughness’ of the takes but as I say, they were taken in an educational environment and are by no means a polished product. But not bad after only a little rehearsal.
Scene 1 is myself & Jamie Lee-Parker and scene 2 is myself and Daniel James Boardman I recommend you follow both!
Please let me know what you think!
Whilst everyone is at the mo, why not grab a & watch the 1st series of a myself and Lucinda Sinclair produced last year - 'Tea One Sugar'.
Be sure to head over to youtube to catch all the other episodes,

Have you ever wanted to give up dating?
This is the last short comedy scene shot and directed by the great Chris Stone - Director. Starring me and Samira Saeed. Copyright 2016.
Been playing with my ‘voice-reel’ and thumbnails again... what do you think of this one?
A bit too scary for the actual product? Nah!
Actually it reminds me of when we did ‘How To Survive A Zombie Apocalypse’ for the Greater Manchester Fringe a couple of years ago with my theatre company Narthen Productions!
What do you think Tobias Christopher, Andy Pilkington, Matthew James Taylor?
Again I put voice-reel in inverted commas as I know it's not really a reel, but let me know if you think I have a future in Voice Over?
Since sharing my 'voice-reel' last week, and also I've been playing around with thumbnails;
I've created this little masterpiece from an outrageous costume I had to purchase for a Mr Motivator look-a-like audition, and a clip from my 'voice-reel'.
Hope you enjoy!
PS I put voice-reel in inverted commas as I know it's not really a reel, but let me know if you think I have a future in Voice Over?
Since working closely with Ross Grant recently - and hearing him record his V/O demo's, it reminded me of the time he set up VO Focus.
Here's the demo I came away with:
What do you think The Voiceover Gallery?
Mum always said I had a face for radio (and a voice for silent films 😆)
New Showreel for 2019
Well this is .
I’ve been for my first ever .
To make things better it’s my first casting of 2019 too!
Thank you so much to my agents for making this come true.
Please don’t ask me what the casting is for, because to be honest I’m not entirely sure I know what it’s for myself lol I’m just so .
Love and Peace ❤️&✌🏻

Well done thank you for keeping in form of messing a crucial game up and not performing under pressure! I said it before and I’ll say it again: we’ve messed up our chances of going up now, playoffs or not!
