Scrolling back through the years to cram everything that we have done over 12 years in to 10 Slides was impossible. From starting in St Ann’s Sqaure to opening tib street to opening in city tower to pop ups in and around the city to working with spar convience stores to working with booths to opening the garden centre to LOCKDOWN to opening the Didsbury store to opening Macclesfield to opening the mega structure that is Deansgate Square. Im bound to have missed something! Even today we have a meet to open a new chapter in the flourish story so fingers crossed with that. Thanks to our team and most of all our customers ❤️

17th July 2012 was day one.

I technically do it tomorrow, on the Tuesday as that was the day I started on. It absolutely smashed it down all day and it still is to this day is the quietest day I’ve ever had. I had a ford transit Luton van and had to load it and unload it everyday. Wouldn’t have changed this starting point for anything.

Deansgate Square Mothers Say 2023 💐✌️

Anemone Season just around the corner, spring flowers are just the best! So colorful. Who has seen the daffodils poking through the ground ?🌼😍 can’t wait to see a bit of colour again.

✨The Tib Street chapter of Flourish is to come to an end after 8 years✨

I think it’s time we fill you all in. Our Tib Street store is going to be closing on 21st January (week on Saturday). As this store is part of the Rylands Building, we have to close the shop so building work can commence and the redevelopment can begin. We were really close to agreeing a move into a new shop very close by, but that deal has fallen through which means the store reluctantly has to close for good. The Eight years we have been on Tib street have been amazing and it has without doubt been the foundation to where we are today.

We have a lot of exciting plans for our new Deansgate Square store, we’re wanting to make this the centre of Manchester’s green community 🌿
We’ve also been working on a new online concept and it’s coming very soon. Your flower and plant fix for the value you love & free 🚚

I really do want to thank everyone who has shopped with us at Tib street. You’ve helped us build this business. Who would have thought 10 years ago when I started on the small stall in St Ann’s Square, that we would have been supported to establish Flourish into what it is today. So a massive thanks for your amazing support throughout. I want to thank all the staff that have worked here over the years. Lucy, Ruth and most of all my sister-in-law Sam, mother-in-law Kim and wife Charlotte for starting it off nearly 8 years ago. You all put up with a lot of s**t (literally) working on Tib street so thank you.

On a side note I really hope that these new developments happening in the northern quarter retain its history and not destroy its uniqueness. Outdoor street selling and market stalls are part of its renowned past and what the whole area was built upon.

The powers at be might not make the money from us small guys selling on the street, but you risk selling the soul of what made this place different.

Right I’m calling an end to the insta hiatus ✅, we’ve had quiet alot to deal with the start of 2023🤯, which you’ll be brought up to speed on over the next few days. For now, wait until you see the Tulips 🌷 and Ranunculus arriving tomorrow. It’s like spring is just around the corner! (If you look 👀 outside you will wreck the spring vision in you head!)

Festive Friday on Tib 🎄✌️

Today is a huge plan and buying day. Ilex berry, thistles, anything gold or silver …. Don’t forget the Eucalyptus! There’s 400 bunches at the moment on order so that should last us about 2 or 3 hours when it arrives 😂.

We have indoor plants heading back to Tib Street on Sunday as it warms up lot over the weekend. Until then it’s just to cold.
