GORP READY?

GORP - Just some good old fashioned raisins and peanuts? Or the ultimate fashion forward statement?

What exactly is GORPcore and what does it have to do with raisins and peanuts I hear you ask?..

Inspired by a common phrase used by hikers to describe trail mix, GORP was an acronym first coined by fashion magazine The Cut to describe the emerging trend of wearing functional, utilitarian outdoor wear as high fashion streetwear.

To create this look, invest in waterproof outdoor coats, puffer jackets or gillets, fleece pullovers, practical hiking style trousers, and functional trainers or boots from brands such as , , , , , , , and .

LET’S ALL MEET UP IN THE YEAR 2000
Thanks to the (cyclical nature of trends and the) noughties recently hitting our screens again in everything from Saltburn to the Mean Girls remake, Y2K is having another big fashion moment and we can’t get enough of it!
