Africa’s NFT Scene Is Booming – International Attention Could Take It to the Next Level

Between July 2020 and June 2021, Africa saw $105.6 billion in cryptocurrency payments, a roughly 1,200 percent increase over the previous year, according to a March report by blockchain data platform Chainalysis. Meanwhile, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa were all ranked in the top ten countries for crypto use.

But despite this seemingly wide crypto adoption, African digital art still has challenges to overcome.

How do you think African NFTs can overcome their restrictions.

It was lovely to host the latest meeting. We were awash in African culture, food and art.

For over 25 years, sourcing high-quality art for offices and home spaces, especially unusual pieces that will boost the environment of our clients has been a major focus.

Joel Tudor is a blessing and superb painter, who knows how to communicate mood, emotion and atmosphere. He knows how to make a viewer feel a certain way.

One may not credit his art with so much philosophy, but Joel passes his message in subtle yet deep allegories and innuendos that suggest a vision beyond the ordinary.

I certainly acknowledge what his achievements are as a painter. It is most exciting that preparations for presenting his new body of work are almost done.

Its always a great delight when students visit the gallery or use the space for their events.

Over 30 'Feminist collective' popped down yesterday evening to celebrate the closing of a brilliant school year!

Ffion, representative of Feminist Collective UoM writes, "Dear Chukwudi, Thank you so much for allowing us the hire the venue last night! We all really enjoyed and people loved the space!" Thanks."

It's one thing to be extremely passionate about African Art. It is yet another to birth a gallery to feed that passion for African Art.

When however, you are nationally recognised with a prestigious award for your passion and hard work...... now that's a whole new level!!

We're elated and grateful for the award of DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR 2020 startup category, by the IOD Manchester.

Artists and dealers have donated works to the online auction raising money for the International Rescue Committee in Ukraine

In response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine provoked by Russia's invasion, Sotheby’s has announced that it will be raising funds for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Ukraine via the sale of works by 15 contemporary Ukrainian artists and 13 international artists. Bidding for the online auction Contemporary Discoveries runs from 13-19 May and the works will be on display at the auction house’s New Bond Street galleries.
