Howdy my name is Fern! Stare Society is my lil baby and we’ve been in Chinatown in Manchester for nearly 2 years. It’s been a wild ride! I started my journey when I was 17 selling at markets in London & Manchester to having my own lil place. It’s been the most challenging stressful 2 years of my life but I’ve met some incredible people from meeting one of favourite bands that casually strolled in, filmmakers, models, rock n rollers, business owners and people who used to knock about in this building back in the 70s!

Anyhow our journey in the City Centre is soon coming to an end pretty much everything (excluding our concessions) is discounted and a huge amount is only a fiver. Everything really does need to go. We’re moving to a fabulous new location in Stockport that we’ve been working on during the week! I’m so excited for this new adventure! It will be a funky photography studio with a select line of vintage for photo shoots and hire!

We’re open Saturdays from now on 12-6 and you can also drop us a message if you’d like to visit for a shopping appointment during the week!

You can also hire the place for photoshoots for now only £15 + vat per hour! Thanks to everyone who’s made being here so special ⚡️✨💕

SECRETS OUT! WE’RE MOVING!!! We’re heading out of the city to the lovely Stockport! It’s been an amazing 2 years here in the City Centre I’ve learnt a lot 😂. It’s been a hard decision as we grafted so much to make our lil corner in Chinatown groovy but I’m so so excited to do it again and even better over in Stockport!! We’ve got the most epic neighbours too (I’m so excited) the famous and some amazing other businesses! (It’s gunna be hard resisting eating there everyday 😂)

We’ll be running things a bit differently over there with a focus on our photography, converting the space to a photography studio but keeping the quirky vibe and bonkers interiors! We’ll still have a very select line of vintage as well as our own handmade line.

This does mean we’re saying goodbye to our gorgeous makers. They have been an incredible addition to the store and I’ll really miss having these stunning items in store!

SOOOO this is even more reason to boogie on down shop the sale support the fab makers before we leave. Chinatown store will be open limited hours until September now. Also this will be your last chance for photo shoots in this space!! So please DM us for engagement, fashion, couple, band shoots!

Happy Friday Starers! Just wanted to say a big thank you and hello to everyone who has followed along recently! I feel like it takes forever to build followers so thank you for being here thanks to for the mention! It’s been a manic couple of weeks here at Stare Society we’ve been hosting lots of photoshoots and meetings! So thank you for everyone’s support! The store will be open tomorrow 12-6! The lovely Harriet will be in from providing boogie tunes and incredible vintage dresses and good vibes! This is the last month will be with us! So make sure to pop by tomorrow if you’re in town! The rest of the week I will be away. I’ve been busy working on a couple of projects and I have some really exciting news that I cannot wait to share! So the shop will be open reduced hours this month! If in doubt please drop us a message before boogieing down to avoid disappointment! We will be back to normal in May! I appreciate this is not how most shops work😂 but being a one gal business has meant having to sacrifice the shop being open in order to create some exciting things for the future 💪 Come and say hi tomorrow 💕 Have the best weekend!
