On Saturday 6th July One Education Music are proud to host our annual Showcase Rocks Event at . This event will feature a range of bands from One Education’s High School Network as well as featuring guest DJ and Rappers from one of our partnership organisations the . Doors Open at 12pm and entry is Free🙌
Fresh of the back of Streat Heat 3 the North’s no.1 Hip Hop and street culture event, 3 artists and a DJ from the Manchester Hip Hop Academy performing as the collective have been invited to perform at the One Education Schools’ music showcase. Each artist will be preforming 15-minute sets of entirely original content produced over 18 months development working with Unity Radio’s and the Manchester Hip Hop Academy. Learning about Black British music and the importance of DIY culture, the group have produced their own professionally manufactured CD’s which they have been selling directly to music fans in order to raise funds for their own u18s event’s.
The MHHA’s young musicians project has been supported by Manchester Youth & Play with resources supplied from Youth Music.
The event will be held between 12-4pm at Band On The Wall Swan Street, with musicians representing the Manchester Schools and Colleges including : , , , OEM South Music Centre, Manchester Academy, OEM East Music Centre, and Wright Robinson College.
