Our customer wanted a trouble free sale so opted for a full new DPC and fresh certification ahead of any potential buyers surveys for a fast problem free transaction.

This property in Bury was suffering with Dry Rot due to an exterior concrete floor being laid over air bricks and vent causing humidity in the property’s subfloor.

We replaced all affected joistwork, floor boards, door frames, architraves, and skirting boards, as well as removing the plasterwork 1m up from and we treated all the subfloor area and related mortar.

And to stop this happening in future We have advised a subfloor PIV unit be fitted , this particular customer has opted for air vents.

This HMO in Liverpool was suffering with rising dampness throughout, here’s the result of 5 days work after we fully hacked off the affected plasterwork then injected a new DPC, tanked the brickwork then re-plastered the works area before fitting new skirts.

This property now has a 10 year damp free certificate.

This property in Swinton was suffering with rising damp throughout, here you can see the end result.

Its already drying out nicely where it matters, leaving only the deep bonded areas still damp which take a little longer.

I always tell my customers although the certificate is for 10 years you really only need a few days to tell if the job will dry out or not, and they always do, but with our tanking system in place once this jobs fully dry in about 2 week it will remain dry, nothing will ever come through the tanking system long after the DPC has failed in 15 years or more.

Now we’re not saying the DPC won’t fail, they all do in time. But with us having tanked the job as well as injected it you will never see the effects of the rising damp again.
