What is the WORST opening sentence to any content? You've probably done this yourself (or at least seen it regularly). It's... 'A question I always get asked is...' 'People often ask me...' 'Yesterday, I got asked this question...' It's the equivalent of the bad chat-up line: 'Have we met before?' But why is it so bad? People do this because they feel the need to justify why they're talking about whatever it is they're talking about. But you don't need to justify anything. And all you're doing is wasting a good hook. Imagine if my first sentence to this video was, 'People often ask me, what's the best way to write a hook?' It's not nearly as compelling as what I went with. The ONLY time when you can turn a 'people always ask me' opening sentence into a good hook is to use an intriguing adjective, such as 'the most frustrating question I get asked is...' What about you?
