Useful information from the guys at IPSEA
EHC plans can be lengthy and complex. They are required by law to contain certain sections, and it is important to ensure your EHC plan matches the legal requirements. If it doesn’t, it could make it difficult to enforce.
An EHC plan should be written in a way that makes it clear, to parents, young people, schools, colleges and local authorities, who is required to do what, when it has to happen and how often it should be reviewed.
To help ensure your child's EHC plan complies with the law, we've created an EHC plan checklist.

We are absolutely appalled by Councillor Liam Billington’s recent comments.
We would like to remind him that his primary role as a Councillor in Tameside is to represent and advocate for children & families.
Cllr Billington’s comments are discriminatory and incredibly ignorant.
He must be the most ill-informed Councillor in the UK right now.
Do the decent thing Liam, APOLOGISE for your deeply offensive comments, and then RESIGN!
Then make your way down to Jubilee Gardens where we are based, and we will happily re-educate you and explain what life is really like for parents who have children with ADHD & AUTISM, we would love to see you walk a day in their shoes!

Great news 👏🏼
We are delighted to registered a Changing Places toilet at Stalybridge Railway Station today. This will open up travel opportunities on the rail network for so many who otherwise cannot enjoy a day out with their friends and family and provides potential users with a gateway for onward travel including visits to Glossop and the beautiful Peak District and north towards Holmfirth and West Yorkshire.
Well done to all involved in its planning and installation. For more info, visit the map listing here: https://www.changing-places.org/find?toilet=3299
This CPT has been installed thanks to funding from the Department for Transport.

This Camhs workshop was really well received by parent/carers and we’re hoping to provide this workshop once a term in future.
Parent/Carers who attended also highlighted the need for workshops on other subjects such as PICA, OCD, TIC’s and Post Diagnostic workshops for Autism & ADHD.
We’re looking forward to getting these organised over the next few months 😊

Asthma + Lung UK Parent Carer Support Network
Who are we?
Do you have children or grandchildren who are 0-17 and living with asthma? The Asthma + Lung UK Parent Carer Support Network is a group for you. You are welcome to join us if your child has been diagnosed with asthma, or if you think they might have asthma. We will give you lots of help to manage your child’s asthma at home, in school and in after-school clubs.
How can we help?
Every month we get together in a relaxed and friendly online video call. We talk about the ups and downs of our children’s asthma journey with kind and supportive nurses and doctors. They can answer any questions you have about asthma. Our group is also a great place to meet other families of children with asthma, who understand what you’re going through. Join our mailing list and sign up to our next event here:
