We are delighted to be launching Anvil Best, a traditional best bitter created to honour 100 years of our historic Anvil Brand! 🍺

Anvil Best has a bold, hop-forward palate with an earthy and herbal character, and biscuit and caramel flavours. It was first produced in 1924, in recognition of being an important part of the city of Manchester.

This classic ale will be available at the Friendship throughout July and August, so make sure to join us soon for a delicious nostalgic pint!

TRAINING FOR THE LONDON MARATHON 💚

We are incredibly proud of our Meg who is running the 2024 London Marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Meg said on her JustGiving page…

“The statistic 1 in 2 will be one of the driving forces pushing me through those hard training sessions. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, meaning it's extremely likely that most of us will be personally affected by cancer at some point throughout our lives. Macmillan Cancer Support provides those affected by cancer with the support and the resources that they may need during difficult times. For me personally, this charity holds a dear place in my heart as both my Granny and Granny P were cared for by Macmillan in their final months battling cancer. Without the help and support of the team at Macmillan, my lasting memories of them would not be so special.”
