Tonight at 7.30 pm I will be hosting a zoom session to introduce a new “holistic songwriting” workshop I have been developing over the past few months (or my entire life, depending on how you look at it..)

“The Song of the Self” is a five-session online songwriting workshop designed to harness the transformative power of Song, Story, and the human voice. 

In many ways creating this workshop has been a nourishing attempt at articulating the guidance and mentorship I wish I had received when I was a wild eyed 21 year old, lost to the world and with an overwhelming fire inside that yearned for articulate expression.

I began to write ‘Get Spooky’ when I was 17 years old.

I performed its earliest incarnation in my first band & in many ways I consider it to be my first real song.

It is a song risen out of the tension of all I have been & who I am becoming.

I have carried it with me for well over a decade now, the melodies have always been there, but the lyrics kept on evolving as life walks this labyrinth path…

I know theres are many your attention but I would be honoured if you made the time to listen to this old and forever new song that is so dear to me.

The Album was written and recorded during the great upheavals of 2020-21, and is the first record that we’ve financed, produced & released entirely by ourselves, through our own independent imprint LUH*international and the generosity & support of our Luvah community.

Back from home after a few days down in the big smoke of londinium, dropped a few copies of the new LP in , had nourishing conversations with the lil homies & - caught and Paul kingsnorth discussing the wild god at - and found a marble bust of my future doppelgänger- holy twin- now off to hike the great orm in my fathers paradise 🕊️✌🏻

At the end of September, We teamed up with Jan Van Coppenolle, a talented writer, photographer, and fellow Patreon supporter, for some impromptu acoustic performances in Antwerp.

We initially planned to film in St Anne's tunnel, but were soon moved on by security just as we were getting into our performance, due to the busy location. Luckily, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Jan then led us to the picturesque gardens in front of the Royal Academy of Arts, a spot that perfectly captured the essence of our song "Winter's Truth." I'm incredibly thankful to Jan, who not only filmed and edited the footage but also scouted the locations and even lent me a guitar. His energy and enthusiasm were crucial in making this entire project a success.

Last week I sat down for a conversation with a good friend, Louis Bowes, with the intention to discuss our parallel paths in life that have seen us through the labyrinth to this moment of Revelation. Our discussion took us from the early days of the LYF, across the Black-pilled Wastelands to a tentative approach to discussing the Sacred Heart of The Mystery.

The Return is a song I’ve held very close to my heart and perhaps the closest I have ever come to writing a conventional “pop” record - though I feel it's probably some what alien to the contemporary culture; ever the romantic I write hymns for that long forgotten past or perhaps our more beautiful future...

There are more words I want to share with the release of this song, to tell the eternal story of exile and return framed by my own personal experience, but in truth I still haven’t come to a place where I feel ready to open up, I have been writing on it all for a long time; and no doubt have become lost in that maze of words words words, in truth I am feeling a little burnt out by this album campaign… I will share something one day, perhaps one day soon; who knows when that lightning may strike.

it’s Friday! - we made this Cut/ Adrift Shirt to celebrate the release of Shadowboxing; there were 50 Limited Edition Screen Prints on Earth Positive Organic Cotton Shirts- Each pieces has slight unique variations due to the distinctive 'Acid wash' Process, they are mighty fine, if I do say so myself!
