**Parklife** It’s that time of year again. For all our regular, loyal custlomers we aim to service you first! With priority queuing. The phone lines will still be busier than usual however so use our app to beat the ques!

Some safety tips for anyone travelling around Parklife:

1. Never jump in a private hire vehicle that is not booked through an operator. Unlicensed and illegal drivers will be about. It’s unsafe and will lead to you at best being ripped off.

2. Make sure you do get a look at a plate number or reg number. Many councils have removed the operator stickers on doors now so it’s paramount you get into the correct booked vehicle. Look at the drivers badge.

3. Be mindful that roads will be shut off so check before travelling.

Lastly, it’s one weekend a year, so let’s not be overly grumpy, and let’s see our younger ones have a fabulous time! Enjoy!

Apple Watch! A customer picked this up by accident from one of our cars and returned it to Prestwich office this weekend. There is a passcode on it so if the owner is found we can hopefully verify it is there’s. Please call us on 0161 766 6666 if this is yours.

Just a reminder that you will start to see more private hire vehicles with no operator door stickers on. We are receiving these calls, but this decision is by the council and not ourselves. If you have an issue with a Bury Licensed Vehicle and you don’t know which company he works for then please go to the licensing team at Bury Council.
Wolverhampton plated cars should still be displaying their operator door stickers.

***Single Fares*** With the cost of living crises, we don’t believe it would be fair to our customers to charge time/half this Christmas Period. Fares will be normal. If you choose to tip your driver for a good service that will be entirely up to you on your journey. Even paying by card you can add on a tip if you so wish. Have a fantastic Xmas and New Year to all our customers. We are open throughout!

**Door stickers are going***
The Department for Transport have issued guidance to our councils on Private Hire Stickers. This means that Bury Council have decided to remove Operator Stickers on the doors of all Bury Licensed cars and replace them with a small window plaque passenger side instead. The point of this is distinguish a ‘Taxi’ from a ‘Private Hire Vehicle’ for driver safety and to stop drivers being able to ply for hire.
So from January lots of our cars will start to lose the door sticker…Elton too and Uber!!
We have personally argued this will make it much harder for are customers finding and getting in the correct car. It will be difficult for elderly and partially sighted customers. If there is an incident with a licenced vehicle you may struggle to know who he operates for.
They have also made it so that drivers can drive for any company at the same time. So when it’s busy and Uber pricing surges, we will either lose cars working on Uber or we will have to follow suit with pricing higher at demand times.
We don’t feel Bury Council consulted the users of the service and therefore we are announcing for them.
