Some for us,some for the squirrel feeder at home 😉
Wrabness Nature Reserve (not to be confused with the RSPB nature reserve) is in the west of the vilage, with its own carpark and plenty of paths to explore. Of cause, from here you can access all the other footpaths in the vilage to make a bigger walk.

Short walk chestnutting today... Always done it since i was a kid 😉
Head out of the station and head strait along Rectory road. Follow the road around the corner to the left and head carry on till the last house, hillcrest, and turn left down rectory chase. End of the lane is a bridge, cross and get your first glimpse of 'The house' to your north west.
Now follow the track to the right and follow the footpath all the way to the river. Now follow the path to the left and into 'East Grove'.
Here you will find a rope swing which has been here for as long as i can remember (currently over 35 years).
when out of the grove, turn left up the hill. Here you will see the 'House for Essex'.
Carry on up the hill, onto BlackBoy Lane and back to the station/cafe
hi guys, just a few of our favourite walks around Wrabness. We will get around to posting photos and written directions soon, as well as many more circle routes, and make it as fun as possible. can you spot 'hootsburg' the fluffy owl in the photos...? 🦉
I will try to start all walks from the Station/cafe as its easier for parking... and snacks
All walks will be posted as Albums under the 'Photos' section of the page..
Wrabness is far more than 1 strange house...
