Happy birthday to our fabulous director Steven Mills - Wishing you a super day! Although it was technically yesterday we couldn’t miss the opportunity to share some cake and birthday cheer!

As national payroll week draws to a close we wanted to thank our wonderful finance controller Joanne Fretwell

We caught up with her last week to find out all about her role:

“I’ve been doing payroll now for 20 years. My most important part of the role I believe is when it comes to completing employees’ wages. It’s important to get these right as your are dealing with other peoples money.

I have worked at Intex Facades since November 2008. I feel proud to work at such a brilliant company that has always made me feel like a valued member of the team.
I enjoy payroll as I enjoy doing the duties which going ahead in the background but that supports and helps all departments run smoothly.“

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

On behalf of Intex Facades, we send our thoughts and heartfelt condolences to The King and the Royal Family for their immeasurable loss.

For more than seven decades the Queen dedicated her life to public service. What a wonderful example to us all.

A huge congratulations to Luke Bedford who has passed his probation with flying colours.

Luke joined us in March and is a great addition to our commercial team. We cant wait to watch Luke’s continued progression over the coming months and years

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Alex Wheatley as Associate Director.

Alex will be tasked with assisting the overseeing of the commercial and finance teams to make sure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Alex said “I relish the opportunity to support Steve in the leadership of Intex Facades as we continue to provide a high standard of completed projects and continue to make a positive impact across the Façade industry.”

Yesterday was world doodle day. Here at Intex Facades we are very proud of our talented design team!

We caught up with our brilliant designer Kev to see what he loves about he role as Designer….

“The Façade industry is dynamic as technologies and techniques are always evolving rapidly. For me the best part of being a Façade Designer is that no day is ever the same, from designing in the office, to visiting clients and getting out on site.

In the past year a project I’m especially proud to have worked on has been John Barker Place which was a residential scheme in Hitchin.
This project encouraged me to learn a new façade system of BENCHMARK Dri-Design andQuadCore Karrier by Kingspan, which I had not used before. Seeing the completed project has been brilliant and has provided me with a sense of accomplishment.”

we are celebrating our employee of the month for August - Nikolay Mostyaev. He has recently stepped up to site supervisor on one of our sites, he has shown a great amount of knowledge and experience and is a valued member of our site team!

We are proud to share our completed project - John Barker Place. The project was an opportunity for Intex Facades to work with a new client Jarvis Group We supplied and fixed the full system using material in Kingspan panels which we hadn’t used before.

We look forward to working with both client and supplier again.

This week marks our trainee QS Luke’s three month anniversary with Intex Facades. We caught up with Luke earlier this morning to see how he’s found the past few months.

“I have really enjoyed my first few months at Intex. Being new in an industry isn’t easy but the team have been good at helping me settle in, especially Alex who has been patient and helpful, he has explained things thoroughly as many times as needed and always made time for any questions I may have.

I am being set a variety of new challenges and have had the opportunity to attend our sites in London numerous times to observe the role of a QS on-site. This has been a great experience for me, and I hope to give more input in meetings and communicate with our contract managers as I learn more about my role and our projects.”

Here at Intex Facades we want to say a big congratulations to our brilliant labourer - Florin, who has been chosen as operative of the month! He always works hard, is friendly to everyone on site and is a great example to the other labourers.

Thanks Florin - we are proud to have you in our Intex team. 🙂
