Been out today, to a
Lady who was having trouble with her bay window.
The blinds was moving around when all the windows was closed.
On my first visit I just knocked on the exterior side trims and got the hollow sound, I had found the problem straight away.
My second visit was to solve the issue, firstly I removed the side trim , Pic B this exposed an empty void.
Then I could see there wasn't any seal to stop water seaping to the plaster board, Pic C.
So I put some sealant in Pic D.
Then I sprayed some Foam
Pic E, then replaced all trims and resealed Pic F.

This is a very common error from some fitters, when installing windows and doors.
If there is an empty void between the window and brickwork this will only cause draught and increased noise from outside.
It sort of goes against the grain as to what your trying to achieve.
Upvc windows and doors should if correctly fitted reduce noise , stop heat escaping and draughts coming in.

Well its all done and again its saved the customer the cost of a new bay,

Took glass out, regasket and cleaned cill.
