I have been super duper quiet over the past few weeks, lots of changes happening.

Started a new job, and with a house move and our home ed adventure coming to an end, we've also been school hunting 😔
On the plus side, with the house move back to Arnold, it means I'll have my own designated work space/studio which will make life much easier 🤩
It's been a crazy couple of months, with the addition to being made aware that my website has not been functioning properly, I knew there were some hiccups that had arose, but it turns out, I've not been receiving any emails properly through the website either, so if you've emailed me through the site and have been awaiting a response, I sincerely apologise! I'm hoping it's fixed now, but will have to have a good think about a new provider, please bare with me! 💖

I definitely ran more than the 5k to capture you all 😅 and was naively unprepared for so much physical exercise🤦🏼‍♀️

This weekend I'm offering family studio sessions for £10, including photos 📸

I have availability for 10 sessions between from 11am Saturday through to 4pm Sunday, pop me a message to book, I am available for late evenings if this works around your work or family schedule 😊

Includes sibling shoots. Pets also welcome!

*Does not include a posed newborn shoot, but happy to incorporate new babes into sibling/ family shoots ❤️

* 30 minute sessions, all photos included in digital format at no extra cost.

* only available at my home based studio in Mansfield, I have access to King's Mill reservoir (as shown in the photo) should a location shoot be a preference, however this will incur an additional cost and is subject to availability.

After last night's kitchen carnage, I remembered that i had some absolutely awful photos from my own attempted cake smash on Leo's first birthday. Taken with an old phone and a bed sheet for a backdrop, we live and learn 😅
Not much changes in 9 years...The boy is still a cake fiend 🫣😅

So, we got the result 🎂🫣

We have the perfect consistency for messy cake smashes!

This was a very basic trial run, so next time, filling for the centre, smaller cakes and more icing.
The messier the babes get, the funnier and better the photos 📸

What do we think? My home made cakes to be offered in a package?
I contacted the FDA and the council today as they stated I'd have to register as a food business, which is fine and dandy and all underway 😀

I received an enquiry about a cake smash a couple of days ago.
Whilst I haven't done one during my own venture, I have captured them prior whilst working for a company.
The difference, the clients brought store bought cakes, in my opinion I couldnt get the desired "scruch" of cake 🤣 I'm not even sure what correct adjective should be there, but I'm sure you get the general gist.

So that gave me a thought, as usual; my kids (and Richard) brag about my cakes, whilst they're not aesthetically insta worthy, I was not blessed with that ability, but the texture and taste are just so incredibly light and fluffy (the total opposite texture you need for a decorative cake). So, what if my cake smash packages had an option to include a home made cakes, one I can ensure the right texture for babies to get right in there?

Well, let's see....

Tester cake number one is under way, as is my query with the Food Standards Agency to ensure all correct standards and boxes are checked ✅️
I already know that this is going to be too large for the image I have in my head, but that's what tests are all about 😁 As well as an excuse for a baking shopping trip to add to the shocking amount of baking equipment I already own

Harlie has the diddiest hands in the family, so she will ultimately get to do the 'Scrunch' 🤣🎂

Oo, progress has been made today!

✨️I've got around to putting my face to the name.
✨️ Had an enquiry for a sibling location session.
✨️ Received confirmation of teaming with another charity Living Without Abuse offering free sessions for strong incredible individuals who are rebuilding their lives after experiencing Violence in all forms.. ️Who have then asked me to photograph their event! Of course i'd be delighted! 🫶💞

There is NO availability at the following times:

Every Monday (Term time) from 2pm to 6pm.

Every Wednesday between 3pm and 6.30 pm.
Every Wednesday (Term time) between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

If you are unavailable any other days or times other than those stated above and still wish to book, please pop me a message and I will do what I can to accommodate if at all possible 😁
