Our teams have delivered a £1.6m contract to provide more than 300 high specification kitchens for a major new co-living scheme in Leeds, developed by Caddick Developments.

Mercer West and Madison East are two adjoining apartment buildings in Leeds’ cultural quarter, built by Caddick Construction Limited.

This build-to-rent development is part of SOYO Leeds – a new neighbourhood in the heart of the city.

We provided bespoke, contemporary kitchens for 331 apartments in a range of configurations.

Our contract involved the manufacture and installation of around 4,500 items of furniture including base and wall cabinets, drawers, tall fridge unit, oven housing and solid white quartz worktops.

A mix of studio, one, two and three-bed apartments for rent were designed by DLG Architects, together with new public realm.

Fife Council has taken ownership of the new St Columba’s RC High School and Woodmill High School at Dunfermline Learning Campus.

These state-of-the-art facilities, fitted out by Deanestor, will open to pupils next month.

We are delighted that Newmains & St Brigid’s Community Hub in North Lanarkshire, fitted out by Deanestor, has just been presented with its 5th award for design and architecture!

It has now won the prestigious Project of the Year – Public Sector Award at the national Mix Interiors Awards.

Huge congratulations to the design, construction and visionary team on this latest accolade and particularly to architects BDP and our client, BAM Construct UK.

Designed to be highly energy efficient and accommodate more than 600 children and staff, the project has successfully combined two primary schools and a family learning centre on one shared campus.

The interior design is stunning.

Hove Central is one of three Deanestor fitout projects for Moda.

We delivered a contract worth over £4m for 572 stunning bespoke kitchens and more than 900 fitted wardrobe sets, all to Moda’s high specification.

The kitchens are L- or U-shaped with some linear configurations. The base cabinets and 3-drawer units have a dark grey horizontal woodgrain finish with wall cabinets in a lighter matt colour and contrasting white marbled quartz worktops and splashbacks.

The units have a handle-less design for a sleek and contemporary appearance and LED lighting has been fitted under the wall cabinets. Some of the kitchens have breakfast bars.

We think the result is exceptional.

Moda Hove Central has created 824 beautiful new homes for rent overlooking the sea and the South Downs and with unrivalled amenities and public realm.

The new 670-bed Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Birmingham has moved a step closer to completion this month and is scheduled to open to patients this autumn.

This ambitious scheme brings together urgent care services from three hospitals in the region into one state-of-the-art site.

We have already fitted out around 1,000 rooms on this project and supplied and fitted around 9,000 items of furniture and equipment.

The new hospital is designed to provide the best possible experience for patients, staff, and visitors and even features a winter garden.

We have been awarded a contract worth over £2m by Robertson Construction Tayside for the new Monifieth Learning Campus in Angus.

This brings our fitout work for Robertson in Scotland to 15 contracts, totalling around £17m.

We will fit out 379 spaces across the £66.5m campus and will design and manufacture or procure more than 13,000 items of fitted and loose furniture and equipment for the project.

This new Learning Campus for Angus Council will accommodate around 1,200 pupils.

Due to open in August 2025, the facility is designed by architects NORR to meet Passivhaus standards and will combine energy efficiency with a high level of user comfort.

Malgorzata Norberczuk (Gosia) joined Deanestor last year as a Trainee Designer following her very successful three-month placement at our Scottish headquarters in Dunfermline.

She joined us after studying 3D Interior Design at Fife College.

Gosia works as part of our design team, putting our furniture solutions into 3D visualisations for school fitout projects across Scotland. She has brought some excellent skills the team.

This is one of the stunning kitchens that we have delivered at Moda Holland Park in Glasgow.

Our £3m contract for Robertson Group was for the manufacture and fitting of bespoke kitchens and wardrobes for this new £80m build-to-rent neighbourhood developed by Moda.

Our teams provided 433 beautiful kitchens and 599 fitted wardrobe sets for the high-tech studios and apartments.

Holland Park was our first PRS contract in Scotland and is one of three projects for Moda.

The scheme is set around a new public courtyard and has created 433 homes for rent in four buildings up to 22 storeys, creating a vibrant community for around 900 people.

Riverside Primary School which we fitted out for Robertson Group (Tayside) has been shortlisted for an RICS award 2024 in the Public Sector category for Scotland.

This acclaimed project has already won the Learning Places Scotland Award in the ‘Innovation in Delivering a Sustainable Learning Space’.

Delivered by Hub East Central Scotland for Perth and Kinross Council and designed by Architype Architects, Riverside Primary is one of the first Passivhaus primary schools in the UK.

Working in a live school environment, the Deanestor teams installed nearly 4,000 items of fitted and loose furniture and equipment for over 90 rooms across the campus – from teaching walls and storage solutions to soft furnishings.

The new primary school is designed to accommodate 500 pupils, 80 nursery pupils and 16 additional support needs pupils. It has replaced North Muirton and Balhousie primary schools, creating a beautiful and inclusive learning environment.

The choice of natural materials for the interior of the new Clarice Pears Building at the University of Glasgow included extensive use of wood finishes to help promote a sense of naturalness and calm in the building.

The fitted furniture provided by Deanestor included bespoke, full height meeting booths in a maple wood finish with brightly coloured seating according to the zone.

These units, manufactured at our factory in the East Midlands, were provided in different sizes and configurations.

The booths incorporate acoustic treatment with padded upholstery above head height to create a canopy that promotes quiet working in the inclusive study spaces. Each was fitted with power, data and charging facilities.

Other booth-style seating arrangements were designed to encourage collaborative working and study whilst incorporating good acoustic performance with the use of upholstered screens.

Our teams are now on site installing kitchens for Octagon in Birmingham for contractor Midgard.

At 49 storeys high, this will be the world’s tallest octagonal residential tower and the tallest building in Birmingham.

It will provide 370 serviced apartments which will be some of the most desirable homes for private rent in the UK.

We are manufacturing and fitting 370 bespoke kitchens in a contract worth £2.3m.

The cabinets are finished in stylish dark grey with black GOLA handles and contrasting white quartz worktops with matching upstands, splashbacks and end panels.

This £110m flagship build-to-rent scheme forms part of the Paradise Birmingham development which is creating a new urban neighbourhood.

We have delivered our first project in the tertiary education sector – providing fitted furniture for the Clarice Pears Building, which houses the University of Glasgow’s School of Health and Wellbeing.

Built by Multiplex Construction and designed by AtkinsRéalis, the £50m facility on the University’s Gilmorehill Campus brings together five academic teams from different locations across Glasgow.

We fitted out 42 rooms across five storeys, manufacturing more than 700 items of fitted furniture and joinery which included the stunning main reception desk in the entrance atrium.

Our contract also included purpose-designed tables and benching and informal booth seating to encourage social interaction and quiet study, as well as storage solutions, kitchenettes, and worktops.

The building is named after Clarice Pears, the mother of the founders and trustees of the Pears Foundation which donated £5m towards the building’s construction.

Our teams are making really good progress with the fitout of Derbyshire South AAU where we are working with Sir Robert McAlpine on 54 ensuite bedrooms for this new mental health facility at Kingsway Hospital.

Our client described their work this week as ‘excellent’!

Our contract is part of an £80m investment in mental health facilities in Derby and Chesterfield to improve patient privacy and dignity.

We are providing around 1,000 items of furniture and equipment for two facilities in projects totalling £1.2m.

This 39-storey student scheme is under construction for Greystar and PSP Investments next to the Shard. Mace is using innovative MMC technology to maximise efficiency resulting in a new floor being built every six days!

We are underway with the fitout package for the student bedrooms and kitchens for the 133m high tower.

Due for completion in 2025, the tower is designed to be fully electric - with a renewable energy supply and rooftop solar array – to power the 905 student bedrooms and world-class amenity spaces.

The architects are Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) .

Greystar Apartments

Montgomery Park is a new primary school which we are now fitting out in a contract which started this month.

This scheme will support new housing in the catchment and will be the first Passivhaus school in North Ayrshire.

Working once again with Robertson Construction (Central West), Hub South West and North Ayrshire Council, we are providing FF&E services for the new facility which will have capacity for 342 children and 47 early years places.

We are manufacturing a wide range of furniture for the project including storage solutions, teaching aids, worktops, learning walls, shelving and changing benching.

We are also supplying and installing around 626 items of equipment – from white goods to soft furnishings and sports equipment.

Montgomery Park School will open its doors to the first pupils this summer.

The architects are jmarchitects and the Passivhaus design is by ECD Architects.

Great to see progress on site for the new £68m Monifieth Learning Campus which is under construction by Robertson Construction Tayside and designed by NORR for Angus Council.

We have been appointed by Integrated Health Projects (IHP) – a joint venture between VINCI and Sir Robert McAlpine, to fit out two 54-bed adult mental health facilities at Kingsway Hospital in Derby and in the grounds of Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

We are providing around 1,000 items of furniture and equipment for each facility in contracts worth over £1.2m.

Due to open in 2025, the £148m ‘Making Room for Dignity’ projects for Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Derby and Chesterfield represent a significant investment in adult mental health services.

The schemes will eradicate dormitories and replace them with single ensuite inpatient bedrooms and additional facilities that promote dignity and privacy.

There will also be a new 14-bed psychiatric intensive care unit – the first centre of its kind in Derbyshire.

A great view of The Octagon in Birmingham rising ever higher over Birmingham city centre.

We are now on site fitting out the kitchens for the lower apartments of this £110m BTR scheme under construction by Midgard Ltd.

We are manufacturing and installing 370 contemporary kitchens for the 49-storeys of apartments, in a contract worth over £2m.

Due for completion in 2025, this landmark tower is part of the Paradise Birmingham regeneration scheme.

MEET THE TEAM - Malgorzata Norberczuk (Gosia) joined Deanestor last year as a Trainee Designer following her very successful three-month placement at our Scottish headquarters in Dunfermline.

Gosia works as part of our design team, putting our furniture solutions into 3D visualisations for school fitout projects across Scotland and using Revit software.

She has also brought excellent Enscape skills to the team, which our private sector clients are increasingly requesting.

Commenting on her work at Deanestor, she says: “I have learned such a lot in a short space of time and have gained so much practical experience whilst putting my academic skills to good use. I love working with both clients and contractors and playing a part in the design of so many inspiring educational projects in Scotland.”
