Often, when I mention hair extensions to my clients, they imagine big, voluminous hair. Let’s be honest, the only extensions we notice are the ones that look “fake.” Extensions done right, however, blend in seamlessly and look completely natural.
I always tell my clients that sometimes less is more.
For example, this client has just one row of keratin bonds to add volume to her already long hair. That’s approximately 50g of hair!
These bonds are three months old, and we’ve repositioned them so she can keep wearing them until September.
Would you ever guess this was hair extensions or natural hair?
Let me know in the comments.
Transforming this hair from brassy to a stunning glossy brunette while retaining some lighter tones. This was achieved using my reverse braided balayage technique.
I used the new Dia Color by , applying Base 5 on the roots, 5.18 for the lowlights, and toning the lighter sections with 7.13 Dia Light.
Just look at that shine! ✨
People often ask me - What are keratin bonds?
Keratin bond hair extensions, also known as keratin-tipped, keratin fusion, or pre-bonded hair extensions, are a popular method for adding length and volume to natural hair. These extensions are made by attaching individual strands of hair extensions to small sections of natural hair using a keratin-based adhesive. The key features and process of keratin bond hair extensions include:
1️⃣ **Keratin Tips**: Each strand of hair extension has a tip made of keratin, a natural protein that is also a primary component of human hair. This keratin tip is designed to melt and bond securely with natural hair when heat is applied.
2️⃣ **Application Process**:
- **Attachment**: Using a heating tool, the keratin tip of the extension is heated and softened, allowing it to bond with the natural hair. The melted keratin is then rolled around the natural hair to form a secure attachment point.
- **Styling**: Once all the extensions are applied, the hair can be cut, styled, and blended to achieve a natural look.
3️⃣ **Maintenance**: Keratin bond extensions typically last for about 3 to 6 months, depending on hair growth and care routines. Regular maintenance involves:
- Avoiding excessive heat on the bonds.
- Using gentle, sulfate-free shampoos.
- Avoiding oil-based products near the bonds, as these can weaken the adhesive.
4️⃣ **Removal**: When it’s time to remove the extensions, a special solution is applied to break down the keratin bonds. The extensions are then gently pulled out, usually with the aid of a removal tool.
Keratin bond hair extensions are favoured for their natural look and durability, making them a popular choice among those seeking long-lasting hair enhancements.
Brought this beauty back to blonde! Last autumn, she decided to go darker, but she’s a blonde at heart. We’ve been gradually lightening her hair again, ensuring we do so without causing any damage 🙌🏽
This wonderful client wanted a balayage and a full head of keratin bonds.
After evaluating her hair, I decided bleaching wasn’t a good idea due to the damage at the ends, which might have caused some breakage. Instead, I suggested creating lighter tones using hair extensions.
We chose a face frame of foils to minimise the use of bleach (unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the front 🤦🏽♀️).
Next, I applied 120 keratin bonds in three different shades to achieve a beautiful, sun-kissed look.
She was very pleased with the result 🥰
I’ve been preparing all my clients with their summer hair, but where is the sun?! 😭
It’s absolutely freezing out there.
Happy Friday everyone ❄️
Can you believe this before and after picture?!
Another balayage created only using hair extensions.
I used the Elegance Full Weft by in colour T1B-4/18 🤎
A few hair extensions can go a long way!
Just two rows of mini tips were added to fill out this already long hair 🤎
One year ago today I left my job of 10 years…
When I handed my notice in I had NO plan, I was totally winging it. I had a handful of my own clients, wasn’t allowed to take clients with me and was just hoping it would all work out. I was told I was crazy for leaving and I wouldn’t make as much money as I was before.
But I just kept telling myself everything always works out in the end.
Then came along who asked if I’d be interested in buying her business from her. Obviously I snapped up this opportunity. I’m so grateful to you Sam for trusting in me to take over your already thriving business 🤍
Fast forward to now and I’m in my second salon, I’m fully booked a month in advance and I’m truly loving my work/life balance.
So if anyone is thinking they need a change in their life but the idea of it scares the s**t out of you, just do it🤣
And trust that everything always works out in the end!
Fresh highlights 😙👌🏽

The last month has been really tough for me, I’ve fallen out with friends I thought would always be in my life. But I’ve realised sometimes you outgrow friendships.
I’m forever grateful for my day one friends who support me in every journey I’ve gone through.
I’m also grateful for all my clients that have become great friends that will listen to me rant about these problems 😂
I don’t really know the real reason behind this post but I felt compelled to express my gratitude on this rainy Saturday morning.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend 🤍
I just LOVE my new pictures in the new salon.
This week has been a whirlwind, I’ve had so many of you in already and it makes me grin from ear to ear to see your reactions when you walk in 🥰
I love my job but I also love you all 🫶🏽❤️
I’ve had a little something hidden up my sleeve…
I am very pleased to announce I will be training to do CombLine hair extensions!
This technique is perfect for thinning hair as they are virtually undetectable.
They can be applied to the fringe, sides and crown area, where standard hair extension systems cannot be worn.
These can be combined with all methods of extensions to obtain a seamless look.
The bonds can be straightened, blow dried, coloured and even permed!
🤍 Last between 4-8 weeks. Dependant on placement and aftercare
🤍 The hairs naturally shed out ( similar to lash extensions)
🤍 Extremely gentle on your natural hair
🤍 Doesn’t require a full refit, can be topped up just like lashes!
🤍 Can create highlights without the use of chemicals
I will be training in May and will be adding this service after that!
Comment if you’re interested!
*please note this is not my work in the video*
Just look at these before and afters ..

Hair extensions don’t always need to be super long and thick.
Just one row of beaded weft was added to enhance this clients hair and give her the density she’s always wanted 🤍
SWIPE TO SEE THE BEFORE-
Can you believe someone actually let this poor client leave with her extensions fitted so poorly?!
Hair extensionists we need to do better! It happens far too often where people are left with sore scalps and bald patches.
Hair extensions should NOT cause any damage.
Lack of education and lack of care causes damage!
Thankfully her own hair was okay, but only because she couldn’t bare to keep them in for more than two weeks because it was so painful 😥
Wow today was really out to test me 😅
While I was getting ready to wash this gorgeous clients colour out, I turned the tap on to realise the water mains had been turned off! There had been a burst water pipe and the whole road was turned off!
Jesus Christ did I **** myself 😅
Then my card machine stopped working and my hairdryer nearly blew up 🤣
Thankfully it all worked out in the end and she left with beautiful hair and was really happy.
Just a little reminder that life will try to test you sometimes, but remain calm and remember you got this 💪🏽
Seamless extensions begins with the perfect colour match! ✨ Using a beaded weft for a flawless blend and natural-looking hair extensions 🙌🏽
Refreshing this balayage, saying goodbye to warmth, and welcoming dimension with strategically placed lowlights. A perfect blend of cool and depth 🤍
Would you ever believe these are extensions?! 😍
Removed the old ones, fresh colour and a brand new set of beaded wefts, also added in some ultra tips on the sides to thicken up the front.. using the best Remi Cachet of course 🩷
