We sourced these pleated crystal pendants to add a focal point to this elegant kitchen dining space. Where possible we love to support local, British craftsmen that still honour old traditions. Each piece is Handblown by a small team of glass artists in London.

We used a stunning chandelier by to draw your eye through this imposing entrance hall to the kitchen.

Creating fabric and furniture schemes are a huge part of what we do. Here is an example of a tray prepared for a client meeting this morning.

How we light shelves.
Introducing lighting into shelving adds further interest and depth. Front lighting using an LED strip works well to light objects such as wine or books. For added drama and depth, consider back lighting which silhouettes objects such as sculptures and glassware beautifully. We always ensure the light source is hidden and often angled.

Cabinetry lighting 💡

Using LED’s effectively is all about lighting the items that are being displayed.

For beautiful glassware and sculptures, we place the LED at the back of the shelf for a dramatic backlit effect.
For fuller shelves, housing wine or books, we place the LED at the front, washing light forward over the items.

We had a wonderful time catching up with our favourite suppliers and checking out their new collections.

Beautiful Powder Room✨

We love marrying the technical elements of bathroom designs with beautiful, elegant finishes. A powder room is the perfect space to play with fun patterns & colours.

We worked with our furniture makers to create a bespoke vanity unit with reeded oak drawer fronts and a quartz top, featuring a scalloped edge detail on the upstand.

We love sourcing beautiful ceiling lights to give the wow factor to a room in the day and add drama and atmosphere at night. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Here we have also used uplights to the fireplace jambs and orangery columns. As a guide, hang chandeliers 80cm from a dining table top but with very high ceilings this could be up to 95cm. This helps them to feel anchored.

To help our clients visualise the final result, we often use Computer-Generated Imagery (CGIs). They are useful for more technical rooms or challenging spaces such as bathooms and kitchens (and where a large part of a project budget goes!).

We worked with our client to bring their love of a paired back, industrial style with natural materials to their kitchen. The pendants are from and the bar stools are from our supplier in America.

With exposed brick throughout, we added wallpaper here to create a calm dining space. We chose shagreen leather handles to elevate the sideboard.

On this project, we refurbished and dressed five London apartments for our private client.

Bedrooms are often the hardest to light, particularly for winter when lighting should be bright in the morning and peaceful and atmospheric at night. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Different circuits that balance task lighting with ambient lighting are key. Task lighting is a functional light that's specific to a particular task, such as these adjustable reading lights by the headboard. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ambient lighting illuminates a general area for atmospheric purposes. Here we used decorative pendants (that hang at the same height that a bedside table lamp would be) for extra soft lighting for a teenage girl’s bedroom. We will be sharing more lighting photos and tips.

Emma and I were lucky enough to be able to travel to Geneva last December to fit out our client’s ski chalet.

We sourced furniture and accessories from the UK and Europe and worked with the build team in France to manage the installation over 2 days.

We left the chalet dressed and ready for Christmas so that our clients could enjoy it the moment they arrived.

We are very excited to start the fit out of an exclusive London apartment this week. We look forward to sharing our design drawings, work in progress photos with our skilled craftsmen and the finished result!
