Headshots! I often get asked for a ‘traditional formal headshot’ so set up the studio lights ready with a neutral background. It can be quite daunting to start with so I often loosen up outside. Funnily enough almost every person chooses these more natural shots as their favourites! I personally prefer natural light and find that the outdoors just gives that warm glow. Helps that I have a fancy reflector that makes everyone look extra perdy! 😉

XMAS MINIS UPDATE! Nearly booked up except for a couple of spots this Saturday 11th afternoon and Sunday 12th morning. Here’s some of the cuties from last year 🥰 can’t wait to see lots of these faces again and meet some new families!

September was just the busiest month for newborns 👶🏼 All the baby snuggles for me 🥰 After a tragic loss in our family, it’s what’s been keeping me busy and out of a sad slump. All of these special family shoots keep me smiling, and I never take for granted that I have the best job in the world.

Get ready for woodland and bluebell spam! Busy week of shoots with very muddy wellies to show for it. I fully respect people’s decision for privacy and everyone signs a contract prior to booking where they can opt out of me sharing pictures on social media. Right, must get to work on retouching all these shoots, in the meantime, my two little ones can flood my feed 😊

All the details 💗 Can’t resist sharing these sweet little fingers and toes. Lucky me to have had lots of newborn shoots this week, my happy place! All taken at peoples homes so tired mumma and papa don’t have to venture out. These were taken with natural light by the kitchen window. Sometimes I have to get creative and shoot where the light in best, all part of the fun!

I’m at a couple of times a month for family shoots, so I thought it would be a good idea to pack the camera to get some pictures of my own kiddos today on my day off. Not that easy trying to keep them alive while taking photos and doing a scarecrow trail 😂 Mimi clearly isn’t at all interested in my silly noises that usually get giggles out of other peoples kids. H was too quick for me to get hardly any before Mimi was dive bombing down the hill. Next time I’ll bring an assistant (husband 😝)

Can you get any more beautiful than this?! Talk about dream wedding. So honoured to be invited to Notley Abbey today to photograph the sweetest couple, Jay and Dave. Too many photos to look through tonight but here's a fav from the day.

Nothing beats a capturing a sweet moment of sibling love... before someone gets bitten/shoved/slapped😂 People always worry that their little ones will play up or be hard work and we wont be able to get a good shot. I try to keep things light and fun so there's no pressure on anyone to be on their best behavior!
So don't worry, even when people think it's been a tricky session, I can always capture the cute moments in the madness!

Pinky promise! I promised I'd share the photos from my special shoot the other week and here they are. I love it when a family has a special tradition, or have something personal that they want to include in the session. In this case, the couple wanted to incorperate a 'pinky promise' with their new baby. I'm always open to trying new ideas and happy to work with you to creature those personalised memories. Baby Kayen, I can't wait to watch you grow sweet boy

Feeling emotional today. Thinking about the babies that could’ve been and overwhelmed at how lucky we are to have our two little miracles. Struggling with infertility and now juggling motherhood is by far the most all encompassing chapter of my life so far. Sending all my love to those little babes that weren’t ready for the world, and to all the waiting mamas counting down the days to see those 2 magic lines 💗

It’s not always babies and kiddies that I photograph, sometimes I get to work with people that I don’t have to blow raspberries at! This time it was with the wonderfully talented Caroline Gallup of . We’re usually working together taking photos of her incredible creations, but this time we got to capture some photos of her beautiful self to update her headshots. It was great to be a part of her ‘Emerging from lockdown’ unveiling.
