This year's Summer Fair is looking like its going to be bigger and better than ever. We have had so much interest from people wanting to join us that we already have a fabulously full entertainment programme. We also have lots of stalls already booked in. We do have some availability left, if any local businesses or stall holders are interested please email [email protected]. and I will reply on 1st of July. X

A lovely visit by the therapy hens today. They are only young chick's and this was their first care home visit, they behaved very well! Very chatty and entertaining ❤️ 🐔

Thank you to everyone who joined us today. We had lovely time and really enjoyed sharing it with other local homes x each home went away today with the funds to book an entertainer, a travelling zoo or a show for their residents! We all win when we work together x

Marske Hall has started some collaborative working with some of the other local care homes. Part of this is to support each other with ideas for activities, events and accessing exciting things in the local community. We have decided to host a joint Table Top sale, where the proceeds will go to supporting activities, some of which we hope to enjoy together. We would welcome any other local homes to come and see what these Activity Forums are about and possibly get involved. For this event there are still a few tables available, please contact me (Ruth) on 01642482672 if you are interested.

I was delighted to be asked to talk about our plan to have a 2 week holiday at home. If you go to 1hr 55ish you will hear our plans and how you could help us have a brilliant holiday!

Ŵhat a fabulous afternoon we had yesterday with Toxic Sofa. Everyone really enjoyed the show and the fun music quiz at half time. Thanks to Tim and Kim for once again entertaining us x

We had a wonderful day at the healthwatch Stars awards 2024 after being shortlisted for two categories; The care and compassion award and The excelling in the support to others award.

Although we didn’t win today, we thoroughly enjoyed being apart of the event that celebrated local services who go above and beyond for their residents and the community. ✨

A fabulous mornings entertainment with the Northeast Producers Ltd. Everyone had such fun singing along to some favourite songs. Thanks very much for bringing the joy!

Award for Saltburn woman after lifetime of caring for others Glynis Rodgerson from Saltburn-by-the-Sea has spent years volunteering in a Marske care home.

What a fantastic turn out for our Easter Coffee Morning x thank you to everyone who joined us, to the volunteers and staff that made it happen and of course thanks for our FANTASTIC entertainment , Rockulele and the O'Dell Singers x everyone seemed to enjoy the morning, and once again we were thrilled with the amazing bonnets. Happy Easter 🐣

Good morning, our Coffee Morning is today 10-12.30! The horrible weather won't dampen our spirits, kettle is on and the stage is ready. Come and join us for some fantastic entertainment, lovely company and of course the chance to win on our Easter Raffle x

Massive congratulations to Glynis and Ged for being recognised by the Mayor for their continuing, unwavering support of our beautiful home. So many amazing people were acknowledged throughout the night for the impact they have in supporting Redcar and surrounding areas. These two, along with Debi Large really represented Marske well ❤️

A couple of weeks ago we had a fabulous Easter pottery session with Buttercups Pottery. I'm sure you will agree that the end products are really fantastic and we're lots of fun to make! Happy Easter 🐰🐣 🧺

A fabulous visit to The Good Life Project. We already have their therapy hens visiting us weekly, which our residents really seem to enjoy. We are now working with them to see how some of our residents could get involved with the project. Exciting times 😁 🐔 🐥

Another fabulous evening with the amazing Tropicana Northeast. Everyone loved dancing and singing to the music x until the next time ❤️❤️

Once again, thanks for the continued support from the Marske Boxing Day dip. We are so grateful for all the support we get from the community. We would love to invite our friends and supporters for a cup of tea or coffee with us on Saturday 27th January 10.30 -12. We can share our plans for the new year and show everyone what their support has enabled us to do for our fabulous residents x happy new year x

As the year ends we want to thank all of our supporters. We appreciate everything you do for us. Special thanks to the Boxing Day Dippers who braved the cold for us x once again you remembered us and we are so grateful xx

An absolutely amazing night with the Untrained Melodies choir. They were absolutely brilliant and we all thoroughly enjoyed belting out so many Christmas favourites! The choir said they really enjoyed the evening X thanks for joining us 🎶

A couple of weeks ago we went to a craft fair at the Wilton Centre. Not only was it fantastic fun, but the proceeds were kindly gifted to Marske Hall to help make Christmas extra special. We were then presented the amazing amount of £440 by Lesley and Alison. Some of this money has been used for Christmas activities and some to add additional presents to the residents gift bags. We just want to say thank you ❤️

A brilliant afternoon performance of some Christmas classics. They had even learned sign language to share with us. Very well behaved and talented children xx
