Fishery update! 🗞️

The good news is this cold snap should be over in the next couple of days. 🥶 🌞

For the brave ones, as you can see from the photo, Cabin pond is ice free and fishable! 🎣 🕳️

The Lakeside Cafe is still open for business from 10am-3pm. (Closed Mondays) dogs welcome 🐾

The fishery is open 7am-4.30pm and tackle and bait (maggots & worms) are available from the tackle shack. 🪱

It’s nice weather for a wander and a brew if nothing else, we hope to see you soon! ☕️ 🥾🥓🍳

We are now closed until the 4th January 2023.
I’m hoping to be back coaching and fishing sometime around beginning of March providing my shoulder operation goes to plan, until then, tight lines and stay safe

There’s some seriously big trout being caught

I had the pleasure of introducing Nathan to coarse fishing at Barlow Country Club.
Fishing was difficult for everyone and nobody really catching too much,
During the two hour session Nathan had a bream, a crucian carp, a few perch, roach, Rudd we were just about to pack up and Nathan hooked into this beauty

Another fantastic coaching session at Barlow Country Club.
This was Steve’s first time fly fishing and he caught a lovely rainbow trout,

Rod Licence Waiver

As part of the Angling Trust Licensed Coach Scheme we are able to provide your first angling taster session even if you have not got your Rod License yet. A Rod License is legally required for fishing activities in England and Wales,
Please ask me for more information regarding how and where to get your Rod License which is free to 13 to 16 year olds, those under 13 years of age do not need a rod license
