I couldn’t believe it when I opened my emails this afternoon and saw that the salon has been nominated for a muddy stiletto award 🥹 (thank you to whoever initially nominated me!) ❤️

These awards run every year and it’s to recognise local businesses. BUT only 5 businesses with the most nominations from each catagory, go through to the next stage.

When opening my salon over 4 years ago my nan had knitted Kobey a hat… I jokingly said to her ‘why does he get one and I don’t?’ - so I got one too 🤣 I absolutely loved it and I asked her to make some for the salon for me to sell… After her joking that I could give them away if I did any dodgy haircuts and thinking no one would buy them - Nanny’s Knits began!

Over the last 4 years I hadn’t realised how many she made and how many clients bought one or more!

Unfortunately last weekend my Nan peacefully went to sleep for the last time. One thing I said to my mum at the time was ‘no more hats’ 😢

Nanny absolutely loved making these hats and she was always so amazed every time I took her over the pennies she’d made from them 🥰

It’s a sad moment seeing the shelves empty where the hats once sat. I’ve taken the remainder of hats home so family members can have one last hat! 🥰

I loooove this colour! 🧡 Kimberley first came to me a year ago, her hair was short and extremely curly after going through chemo. I have loved watching not only her hair grow, but her too! One of the bubbliest ladies I’ve ever met - you’d never know she’d been through what she has! 🥰🧡
