Massively appreciate everyone for being so patient with me. I’ve had a really rough few weeks and I’m super behind on orders because of how difficult it is for me to work at the moment. My TMJ flare up has calmed down but my glasses re-trigger it so I’m waiting on an appoinment for contact lenses. I’m also having really bad difficulties with my neck and back, which typically have became worse than the tmj issues 🙈 I have an appointment this weekend to hopefully help this 🤞🏻 I honestly can’t wait to be back to my normal self, painting everyone’s lovely orders!

I honestly love using watercolour so much, a few months ago if someone told me I would put down the acrylic paints and pick up the watercolours I wouldn’t have believed them😂 I just love what I do 💕

My precious precious Reggie 💙

Let’s talk about growth and development ✨

This is my beautiful little pup Reggie (my baby), his gorgeous faces and expressions have always been perfect for me to use in my art. I remember last year always being really inspired by watercolour paintings, but I hadn’t worked with watercolour in years, never mind tried to paint an animal. I think the most I painted of animals, was frogs with three eyes 🙈
I remember painting the picture on the left last year, and I was absolutely over the moon with it and how it turned out, but I still didn’t really push in the ‘pet painting’ department. Over the last couple of months I’ve really tried to push myself with watercolour, I’ve had some amazing orders of some really lovely people for the family and friends watercolours and I’ve had even more orders since starting to do pet watercolours!

I sat down today and decided to paint an updated picture of Reggie, with a recent picture of him from on a walk (I’ll add the reference photo in the comments because it’s too cute). After finishing the painting and looking back at the first watercolour painting I made of Reggie, I’m quite shook, and very proud at how much I’ve improved- and it just goes to show to never give up!!

Practice makes perfect and it’s going to be an amazing journey! If this is how much I’ve improved in 5-6 months I can’t wait to see what I’m making this time next year! 🥰

I got them printed before on matte paper and the colour ran through leaving them quite faded, and I’d prefer to gift them to someone rather than throwing them in the bin! 💕
