It is with huge regret we have to inform our wonderful festival goers that the Lazy Sunday Festival will not take place in 2024.

At the beginning of the year the local licensing Police held a meeting with all parties involved for a debrief and discussion for the 2024 event, when certain statements made by the police contained outright lies regarding the event & myself, the event promoter. This has been escalated to an Independent Office for Police Conduct investigation on serious allegations of libel and slander.
With such prejudice from the Police force in using the lies as evidence against us, it leaves us in a position where we feel we cannot operate the event this year until the IOPC investigation is completed, and the information removed, and good name cleared of such libel and slander.

Whilst we understand that everyone just wants to have a great day out, with such a cloud hanging over proceedings we feel it would not be right to jeopardise the goodwill and trust from everyone who has supported us in putting events on in the past 30 odd years.

2025 planning is underway. We are adding new aspects to the event, taking it to a whole new level and cannot wait to start revealing what we have in store for the whole August Bank Holiday weekend 2025.
