Well done 🎉🎉 and well earn’t.
Sunday only driving for you.
I actively encourage getting more time on the road driving for experience and confidence. Learning to drive varies in costs so using family and friends is away to achieve it. As long as they follow the rules of being a supervisor:
✅ you’re at least 21
✅ you’re qualified to drive a car
✅ you’ve had a full driving licence for min 3 years
✅ you're not banned from driving.
✅ and the vehicle is INSURED for you to learn to drive in and road worthy.
✅ They are patient and understanding that you will make mistakes. They help you to learn from them
By combining both, using a qualified instructor and as much time on the road practicing, you increase your chances of passing and becoming a safe and competent driver. It will also save you money.
If you are using family and friends to learn to drive, by using a qualified Driving instructor too for one or two hours a week they can tweak your learning and guide you to what to practice with family and friends.
Supervise a learner driver Check if you can supervise friends or family learning to drive a car, what the rules are, how to prepare the car, and how to plan your practice sessions.
Rule 211 of The Highway Code states:
It is often difficult to see motorcyclists and cyclists, especially when they are waiting alongside you, coming up from behind, coming out of or moving off from junctions, at roundabouts, overtaking you or filtering through traffic 🏍️
Always look out for them before you emerge from a junction; they could be approaching faster than you think 👀
Do not turn at a junction if to do so would cause the cyclist going straight ahead to stop or swerve, just as you would do with a motor vehicle 🚴♀️
When turning right across a line of slow-moving or stationary traffic, look out for and give way to cyclists or motorcyclists on the inside of the traffic you are crossing. Be especially careful when moving off, turning, and when changing direction or lane. Be sure to check mirrors and blind spots carefully 🚘

Salman past his test in Bedford. He had had two previous instructors before we worked to get him through. The nerves showed, as I never heard him talk so much through his test. Great to hear the comments of ‘Tyres & Tarmac’ and ‘Kiss the Parrot’. Well Done Fella
Well Done Amy, on passing first time in Bedford. From a very nervous student to achieving your independence on the road. Up and down that motorway now to Lincoln 😎. Dad can have some lay-ins now and not have to take you to work. Impressed me with that emergency stop at 35 mph on the test. Well done 🎉🎉🎉
Well done Jamie, PASSING first time in Northampton. Jamie did most of her learning with her parents and her own car, to such a good standard. I was only brought in to support and carry out a mock test. The effort well paid off.
Well done today Joe. Passed at Leighton Buzzard. You quelled those nervous a treat. And don’t forget the kiss of the parrot 🦜
Congratulations to Jess, she’s passed 1st time today in Leighton Buzzard, with only one minor.
