So today marks my 20th Anniversary of being a professional photographer with the 7th June 2004 being the date that I first started working for PalmerSport as their event photographer.

Initially fully employed but then eight months later as a freelancer, a position I still hold to this day but has grown to a much wider role.

In 2012 I formed my business photoREVERIE Ltd which I trade under for all non-motorsport/automotive work. I now shoot for a wide range of clients in a variety of sectors; primarily event based but includes lots of other types of photography including portraits, drone/aerial, food and property. No, I don't shoot weddings.

What will the next 20 years bring? Hopefully retirement, but I'm not planning on leaving PalmerSport/MSV anytime soon.

Due to the the nature of my work, I rarely get my photos in the printed media. I actually had know idea that Autosport Magazine were going to use my images of the Ginetta Scholarship at all. It was a pleasant surprise when a friend told me.

Photographing conferences is one of my favorite things to do, and listening to guest speakers is a huge part of that. Recently, I had the pleasure of hearing from the inspirational Jamie Peacock MBE, ex-England Rugby League captain and now motivational speaker. His words left a lasting impact on me and the entire audience.

AN EVENING WITH PAUL O'NEILL A Q&A Motorsport evening with Paul O'Neill

As you may know, photoREVERIE are event photographers, typically specialising in corporate events, conferences and team building exercises. Until a few weeks ago, we definitely weren't food lifestyle photographers. But one of our long term clients had this specific shoot come up and trusted us to deliver, we couldn't say no.

To be honest, although I'm sure dedicated food photographers would pick numerous holes with our shots, I think we did OK. What do you think?

We have been fortunate to have been the resident photographers for the world-renowned PalmerSport corporate event for almost 20 years. Whilst we have literally tens of thousands of photos to share from the event, some shots are more special than others. This was taken back in 2010 and contains not only a selection of cars from the PalmerSport fleet that year but also the companies 2009 Hawker Beechcraft B200GT King Air and Jonathan Palmers Eurocopter AS 355N Ecureuil 2 "Twin Squirrel".

We've been working with Kevin @ Retail Racing for the past few years so when he asked me if we had ever worked at the Porsche AG Experience Centre at Silverstone before, I was very pleased to say yes! Kevin always puts on a great corporate event for his clients and this one was no exception. Everything was organised to perfection!

The Porsche team, as you'd expect, were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The catering was absolutely top notch too. A great venue for a small scale event.

Can't wait for the next one!

Proper planning prevents piss-poor performance.

I don't get the opportunity to fly very often, even though I adore it. When I do, I love looking out the window to see the world flying past. That in conjunction with my passion for night photography means I'm always wishing for the chance to shoot cityscapes.

When the booking came in for our recent job in Dublin, I knew I had to book a return flight coming into Heathrow at night, then hope for the right wind conditions to allow a landing into runway 27L or R. As I knew the most photogenic bits of London would be the starboard side of the aircraft, that's where I had to book a window seat. It would also have to be either in front or behind the wing so the views didn't get blocked. I decided on going to the rear, hoping that if the plane wasn't full, I'd get a free seat next to me for the camera bag. That's the only bit that didn't work out, the plane was rammed so the bag had to stay in the overhead locker. So out came my Google Pixel for the shots!

Apart from a little distortion from the heat of the engine towards the bottom of the photos, I'm very pleased with the results. Hope you like them too.

It was great working with the Scruffy Bear Media team and commentators Anthony Jordan and James Auld throughout last weekends British Rental Kart Championship. I doubt whether anyone else could deliver the level of professionalism that these guys provided.

We love working on corporate events in the City. Can't resist just popping the phone out to do some shots of the architecture.

It was great being able to support my friend, Martin Sismey, at his inaugural "An Evening with" event with the legendary race driver Mike Wilds. Held at the fantastic Gasoline Juice the event turned out to be everything we hoped it would be, incredibly interesting, social and intimate.
