The Mill is a perfect location for exploring the wonderful NT Cragside.
This is perhaps one of the most photographed views of Cragside House. You may even have this shot on your phone. But, have you ever wondered about the big boulder in the middle of Debdon Burn under the Iron Bridge?
The grounds that surround the House may look entirely natural but they are in fact a giant landscaped garden that spans 1000 acres and this boulder was intentionally placed in the Burn to create a rustic water feature. Not only that, the rocks surrounding this pool where carefully sculpted to create a series of perfect waterfalls through the valley.
When conditions are just right, you will witness a reflection of the House in the water below - although despite our best efforts, we couldn't quite catch that moment when taking this photo. We'd love to see your photos in the comments.
