Today's deserts at

Wonderful autumnal unfussy table and room decorations at today's wedding in The Woodland Room at Shortflatt Tower. Each table was named after a tree, Ash, Cherry etc, and the bridesmaids dresses even matched the colours of the chair saches.

And who is the amazing team? Well done! I understand it was the first wedding they'd hosted and were well impressed. Lovely venue to add to our list of some seventy venues we've worked in.

We quite often get last minute calls from caterers, venues and hosts who have been let down or need extra help at the last minute. Due to the demand for our proficient staff it is not always possible to fulfill these requests, because of the number of advanced booking we have in the diary. One such call came in yesterday, with a request from a private Michelin star trained chef, to deliver the service at a fine dinning birthday celebration party for 16 quests, this evening, at the castle at Eden Castle, a property one can hire for group accommodation. Thanks to two members of our team, who gave up bank holiday weekend Friday night (a big ask) as did other staff working at other venues, it was a pleasure for us to accept the request.

We've worked at a number of new venues this wedding season.Today we add another beautiful one, Chipcase Castle, to the list. In business for nearly 20 years and we've never worked there before...strangely.
