Our last swing of the bat this weekend with a full house! We close from Monday 28th November until 26th January 2023, for renovations and a bit of R&R. Absolutely lovely! The owners, well, it's like visiting long lost friends. They cant do enough for you. Such a lovely couple. We stayed in the attic which was large, and had some beautiful touches. So well equipped, even dressing gowns. They know so much about the area. There is parking and a breakfast that has to be seen to be believed. Never seen so many options! Just loved it. Slept like a log, so quiet.

Due to a cancellations, we have one night available tomorrow, 6th August, in our King Room at £86.00, the 26th August in our Double En-suite at £85.00, and 29/30 August for two nights in each room. Rate includes our 5 Star breakfast. Phone us direct to book 01670 761989!

Today we welcome our two sets of four night guests.. great beach weather, blue skies and yummy breakfasts on offer! What's not to like 😉

Our light breakfast options of a toasted muffin , poached egg, crispy bacon crumbles, rocket and freshly sliced tomato, topped with hollandaise sauce have proven most popular....😉

Warm summer days to welcome our guests ... busy times!

Our Pancake Stack was a huge success this morning ... creme fraische, berry compote, honey, chopped nuts and a swipe of lemoncurd! Yummy...

Lovely to have happy guests .... we are flat out busy here and only have a sprinkling of days left the whole season. Staycation is the way to go ... the fog has cleared and it's warming up!

"The room was very comfortable and clean, and the little extras (chocolates and water) were a lovely touch. The breakfast was delicious with ample choice. The B & B is only a short drive away from Amble and Warkworth (both nice places to visit) and there's lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. What a magnificent day...Spring is in the air! No jacket and just a gentle breeze on a warm, sunshine filled day!

It's hard to believe a year ago today we closed our B&B business because of covid-19! Little did we know what lay ahead, for not only us here in the UK, but globally. It's been both tough and an interesting learning curve but we remain optimistic about the summer of 2021 and look forward to opening our doors to re-welcome guests who are looking for a place to refresh their souls.

A very low tide today... so low that we saw the wreck of the Hanseat MV which ran aground on 2nd October 1980! A little bit of history that we've not seen before!
