Rob Burrow's Dad (Geoff) spoke to Sky Sports this evening in a very emotional interview about Rob's life. Rob's Dad told the crowd how cheeky he was as a child before breaking down on live television.
You could sense that the whole nation was behind him and fans were reduced to tears. Sky Sports pundit Barrie McDermott quickly intervened and said Rob was more than cheeky and in fact, he was a little rascal and if they had HR in 2001 he would report him every day! Barrie McDermott lightened up the moment and soon put a smile back on Geoff's face and earned a ton of respect from the fans. None of us will understand how hard this must have been for Geoff this evening but one thing we will all agree on is how brave he was. Geoff must be the proudest father in the world right now and we ALL owe it to him and Rob's family to continue his legacy.
