Well done to the 6 boys who took part in the National Badminton tonight a great 6-0 win and into the next round they go ⚓️⚓️
Good Luck to the 4 boys who are representing the company tonight in the National Badminton Competition . ⚓️⚓️⚓️
I will drop all boys home after it finishes tonight.
Parachute fun with Anchor Section.
On Monday Night Anchors had a Halloween themed craft night where the boys got to make their own chocolate apple, and by now I’m sure these have all been eaten (or at least the chocolate has).
Boys took part in different games from dodgeball, to hoop rock paper scissors and parachute games (video to follow).
We finished the night with a spooky story about a BB boy who returned to the church after dark, and had an unexpected run in with a ghost. Hopefully all boys got to sleep, after their little jump scare.

Morning All
Just to summarise what's happening tonight. We know it's Halloween week but decided not to put you all under pressure with an early Halloween party costume etc. You've enough with school parties etc.
Tonight is not fancy dress but will be Halloween themed for all sections.
Anchors will still be in uniform and will have Halloween themed crafts/treats and maybe even a Spooky Story.
Juniors will have a themed night and a movie with food and a later finish of 8.30pm
Company Section will be going on a Spooky Woodland Walk in search of the 'Green Lady' in Dalziel Estate https://www.spookyisles.com/dalzell-house-motherwell/
CS boys should wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear (old clothes) and bring a torch if they have one. The walk will be finished off with a McDonald's treat and back to the church for usual 9.30 finish.
Any questions, please get in touch.
Anchor Section will be as normal tomorrow night. No fancy dress required but we will be doing some Halloween games and crafts.
Wishing Ewan, Sam and Hamish all the best as they represent us in the National Chess competition.
Update
Unfortunately it wasn’t to be on this occassion, however, the boys played incredibly well against a very strong 2nd Cambusnethan. We wish you all the best for the next round.

Dress down night
As this week is Halloween and it falls on a Thursday we have decided to have a treat making and Halloween movie night followed by some food that we will prepare for the boys to enjoy instead of a Halloween Party .
I look forward to seeing all the boys tomorrow night .

Well done to Aaron H, Zak and Harry for competing in the first round of the National FIFA competition tonight, advancing to the next round with a great victory!
Thanks to the other boys who joined us tonight for some extra support.
Thank you to 165th Glasgow for coming along and competing tonight, all the best for the rest of the year 👍
Last night at Anchor Section, we started off with some ‘cops and robber’ style games to hint to the boys at what was to come.
The boys had a fantastic opportunity to speak to some Police Officers and a chance to sit in a police car. They learned about what police officer jobs are, and were surprised to realise it was more than taking bad people to jail.
Afterwards the boys were able to try on some kit from Gemma and our newly qualified police officer, Sam. Once again a huge congratulations from us all.
We finished with a colouring in craft, exploring other emergency service personnel.
This was a great experience for the boys, and all seemed to really enjoy getting involved in trying on the kit.

Great to have the boys back after the October school week with a very busy night in the Company Section. Full house tonight as well with no boy missing which is always great to see.
Evening started with opening service and talking about discipline, another aspect of the object of the Boys’ Brigade. This was followed by a squad challenge with Mr Gass where the teams had to name all the countries on a map of Europe!
The boys then split into their age groups to do some new classwork. Younger boys were cooking fajitas and learning some basic culinary skills like chopping chicken, peppers and onions. Our S2 boys were with Mr Stewart for a session based around Mental Health talking about emotions and resilience. Then S3+ went with Captain Park to practice some drill.
All of the boys involved seemed to enjoy their fajitas and it was great to see some of them trying things that they haven’t tried before and going out their comfort zone!
We finished with some games, including handball!
Another great night in the company section.

Just a reminder that all sections are back tonight after the school holidays. In particular the Anchor Section is in for an exciting night with special visitors that the boys won't want to miss out on!
Parents, please don't be alarmed with a particular vehicle that may be parked outside the church tonight - Don't panic!
A convincing victory for a strong 1st Overtown team, but the boys competed well as always!
Best of luck to 1st Overtown in the next round of the competition and thank you for the hospitality.
RA
Good luck to Aaron, Ethan and Zak taking part in the first round of the National Table Tennis competition against 1st Overtown!
Everyone at 19th Motherwell sends our congratulations and best wishes to Sam Jck (Sam Kidd) as he completes his basic training and has his Pass Out parade today at the Scottish Police College.🚔
Another great night last night at Junior Section. This week we started in the small hall with opening service and followed that with a multiple choice quiz where the boys done really well. We then moved into the large hall and had a games night and again lots of new games this week as we played rounders , corner football and crab football. We hope all the boys had fun and really enjoyed the night. A few boys were missing and we also hope they are all ok and we will see them all back after the October school week . ⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
