LANARKSHIRE DEAF CLUB meets socially every Saturday from 7pm to 11pm in the Daisy Park Centre in Motherwell. We also have a full timetable of daily activities. Our office is based in Motherwell and is open Monday - Friday from 9am. We provide a drop in service to assist with translation of letters, forms and telephone calls for the Deaf community or to provide advice. Our Family group meets every

Many thanks to Children in Need for the funding to keep our children’s events , family group and youth club going. Without them there wouldn’t be anything for our deaf/coda children.

Our member Frank had been invite to Deaf History Scotland DHS last week to talk about his time in shipyard time. And today in LDC
Manako asked lots of question about shipyards. Frank had amazing time
The Scary Walk! We usually do it outside around the building but due to bad weather we changed it to indoor and most of the children loved it!

We had lovely time! We played games and lovely cup of soup. Next one will be 7th of December on Thursday. 10am-2pm

We had lovely morning playing dominoes. Lovely gentlemen teaching us the rules.

Great news !! Our Lanarkshire Deaf Club was one of the affected on the list and now the decision been dropped !! Massive relief !! .
Council u-turns on axing 39 community, sport and leisure facilities North Lanarkshire Council has u-turned on plans to permanently close 39 venues in bid to save £64m over next three years.
Following yesterday’s news by North Lanarkshire Council that may affect 39 venues. The building we are in are one of them.
We, alongside Councillor Andrew Duffy-Lawson will do our best to protect Lanarkshire Deaf Club.
