Another pair of seal bookends. This time for a little girl. I had permission to make them as I pleased, which I always love. I try to make every set I make different. Lola has a wonderful collection of books at home, and I think it's time I made her a set. Her favourite books are the "Anatole" series by Eve Titus, the Orlando marmalade cat books by Kathleen Hale and the smallest elephant in the world. Books are treasures for sure. So a pair of bookends is a worthy gift.

Horse puppet in tweed. I had a small piece left after making one of our large moose heads, and found the perfect thing for it. Isn't he sweet? Ready to entertain.

He is made from remnants of Harris tweed wool, with a brushed yarn mane, wool felt ball feet, glass bead eyes, a small bell around his neck and a smooth oak hak handle to hold.

These Puppets look great hanging on the wall when not being played with. We can embroider a name too, while you wait.

A trio of horse illustrations for a very good customer of ours. She has a wall full of my illustrations, all depicting animals that have brought joy to her life. Dogs and horses do bring so much joy, and it's a privilege to have them in our lives. When they are gone, they are never forgotten, just remembered with fondness.

I am happy to capture your fur baby too. Just send me some pictures. These are illustrations made using ink, pigment pen, pastel pencils, embellished with wool, ribbons, feathers, and sequins. Horses are my particular favourite.

I had a lot of fun making this one.....for a lady who excels in the shire horse world. I hope she loves it too.

A bespoke birthday card, others are possible. Animals are my favourite, so get some pictures of loved pets and send them over to me.

The stable is full! I have collected a beautiful selection of hobby horses in our shop. All made over the past few weeks. I made them from vintage wool blankets, and the poles are the smoothest beautiful oak. I can embroider a name while you wait, so they never get lost. Suitable for ages 2-4 years.

🌷Wool tulips in stock, all freshly made, and scented with rose and jasmine oil. £12 a bunch. Tell someone you love them, are thinking about them, are grateful, miss them. These tulips will remain beautiful forever, no watering required.

We sell a lot of these, so it's nice to finally build up a little stock.

Elephant coathook? This is a product we made a lot of at one point. It's important to teach little ones to hang up their coats, and not just throw them on the floor for us parents to pick up. Elephant wall plaque in ivory wool, with a pale green party hat. These elephants are our most popular creation, and we sell a couple every week.

I think he looks rather marvellous, he is a bespoke etsy order. I shall post him next week. We are happy to make this elephant in any colour, or with embroidered ears, or a hat with an initial on it. Let us know how you would like it.

Flamingo Saturday! Good morning darlings, its Saturday again, we can't believe it either. The weeks seem to be flying by. Lola has kindly modelled again this morning. Flamingos galore. All made from a dusky pink wool blanket.

In this picture you can see my favourite make, the flying flamingo. Large and impressive, a great addition to a bedroom or summer room, she is made from vintage wool blanket, with trapunto stitched wings, that are wired so you can shape them. Her face is woolfelt, with embedded glass bead eyes, and her legs are yarn bound canes with wool feet that are also wired. She wears a pearl necklace. She is £100. We don't post these, so you would have to visit our shop if you wanted one.

At Lola's feet a weighted flamingo doorstop, a perfect addition to any interior. She only requires the occasional compliment and a brush from time to time (£50). In front of her a wool speech bubble "If in doubt Kiss" a moral for life. (Keep.It.Simple.Silly) £5

Then we have the pull along flamingo, we can embroider a name onto her free of charge. She is £50.

Teacher gift ideas, inexpensive and fun. We are all very grateful for all the hardwork our children's teachers have been putting in over the last school year. We could buy them a mug or chocolates, but I imagine they have more mugs than they can need, and chocolates will soon be eaten. The rainbow collection.

People always ask if I use felt to make my creations. I do use some felt for details, but on the whole, it's vintage wool blankets. I don't dye them, I just hunt long and hard for them. They come in such beautiful colours, and these colours inform what I create. Here is a selection that demonstrate the variety of colour. I love the array, and am sad when I use up a blanket. The blues, greens and pinks always run out first.

A lilac hobby horse with rainbow mane for Ruby ♡

We have had lots of etsy orders this week, which is good. Today I have posted off a few boxes. It's always lovely to got to the post office and chat to the girls behind the counter. you have some amazing employees, Gaynor, Louise and Austin in Nantwich post office always go above and beyond.

Two weighted doorstops Frenchie the Flamingo and Stella the Swan.

I haven't made any of these for a while, but since it has been very quiet in the shop lately, I have had the time. I do enjoy making them, but each one does take several hours to make, with the wool being handstitched to create their feathered texture.

They are both available in our shop, so if you feel like you would like to adopt either, then let me know.

Lola the explorer has been helping this morning. You can look glamorous and be an explorer it turns out ♡

She is wearing a linen dress I made last night, I bought a metre of Linen from and used my usual pattern; lola likes this style the most, she likes the loose fit, and always wants a short sleeve. I have stitched on some of my wool scraps left after making Kevin.

Kevin is the chameleon, he is perched on a branch and can be hung on the wall. His party hat is of course optional. Lola is also wearing one of our wooden cameras handmade by Fred, and a beautiful hat we found in in France

On the door, we have a metre of wool bunting, a vintage wooden bead garland and one of our popular triceretops wall plaques.

Welsh blanket horse puppet. A one of a kind creation. I found some Welsh blanket place mats in an antique shop in Wales a couple of years ago. They have been on my pile of wool blankets all that time, and now they are here, made into this horse puppet. I have a couple of corners left, which I am sure I can turn into something.
