Here are some more pictures from our Wheatley project. The original roof had the ridge tiles relayed and verges re cemented, Chimney stacks were rebuilt and new lead work all round. A lot of work has started inside now with plastering and alterations as well.
Here are a few before and after pictures of a renovation job we have been working on in North Wheatley. We have completely rebuild all of the roofs and a lot of walls and laid new slates to match the original house. More pictures to follow of other work we have completed on this project.
Here is another extension we have just completed in Sutton Cum Lound. Ready for internal work to start when the windows and doors are fitted.
We have been looking forward to showing these pictures. Today we have been back to our Retford extension to finish a few bits and we managed to get some pictures of the inside now it is complete.
Packed with features including media wall in the Kitchen and Living room, Skylight with led lighting, Floating ceiling above the island and two sets of Bifold doors. The end result speaks for its self.
We have been battling the weather the past few weeks on our Retford project to get the outside wrapped up. Still a few bits to finish and clean but here is a quick look at how it has turned out
Large single story extension gone up in Retford. There is a lot of steel work to be installed that we are just waiting to for, so we have made a start outside with drains, paths and patios
We have also just completed this transformation on agricultural barn. There was no floor in the barn and the walls had been poorly installed. We put a new concrete floor in that has been power floated on one side for a workshop and brush finished on the other that will be for horse stables. We then put a brick skin around the building to help blend it in with the house brickwork, and new internal block walls.
Wheatley courtyard patio and wall complete. We have just been back today to do some cleaning and tidying up. It has made an amazing space and looks lovely with the sun beaming down on it.
Our garden wall and patio project at Wheatley is coming on nicely. The garden wall is complete and just waiting for the coping stones, And the slabbing has started and will be completed this week. More pictures to follow when it is finished.
Another job started at Wheatley. Large patio area and retaining wall to be built. A massive amount of work has already gone into this with around 50-60 tonne of soil dug out to sink the patio down to a level area and around 17 tonne of stone gone back in for the base. Some of the lads have started on the brick work the past few days so it will soon start to take shape.
Another job ticked off at East Markham. A nice drive/courtyard wall in reclaimed bricks, using original coping stones from a previous garden wall that add to the character of the property.
Here is an external brick stair case some of the team have been working on in Wheatley. Giving access to rooms upstairs and a usable cupboard/store underneath. All built in reclaimed bricks to match the existing barn and finished off today with Indian stone slabs and copings.
Plastering has been completed at East Markham. A few external walls to build and some alterations in the existing house and this job will be coming to an end.
Plastering work has been done by Dion's Plastering who we would highly recommend.
Love it when the scaffolding comes down and reveals the building. External work on this extension coming to an end, and the internals are well underway with plastering starting next week.
Finally got this roof wrapped up. The freezing temperatures and rain that we have had recently really held us up on this one. Really pleased with how it has turned out though. We can now crack on with the internal works.
With it been apprentice week, North Notts Collage have just updated there Page with this article. One of our bricklayers Chris has has recently been awarded a silver plated trowel for his achievements at collage and his second place in a bricklaying competition.

Just a few photos of one of our jobs in East Markham. It has been a hard few weeks after the new year with the rain and cold weather but we are nearly completed. Lovely indoor seating area with fireplace, Oak beams on the entrance with a stop chamfer detail, tongue and groove ceiling boards and traditional slabs to finish off!
Last weeks cold weather really put us back not being able to lay bricks or lay any slabs. But we have had a good few days installing the oak beams, building the steps and started on the slab work. One last push tomorrow before we finish for Christmas
Another one of our jobs in East Markham coming on well. Ready for the oak beams to be fitted and the roof to go on. The paving is on hold with the cold weather
Hand cut roof nearly complete on one of our East Markham jobs. Took a lot of head scratching joining into the original house. We will be felted and battened in this week ready for the slates to go on after Christmas
