Currently we are full and operating a waiting list. If a few Y11s on the same exam board end up on there, I'll look at forming a small group 👩‍🏫 the exception to this is dyslexia specialist tuition where there is still some availability 👍

If you are thinking you might want tuition for your child from next June (2024), please reserve a place on the waiting list. There were only 4 slots left this summer after absorbing the waiting list, which have now been filled.

I couldn't agree more - and not just for those with dyslexia. Whatever helps more people access fabulous stories. They still get the benefits of developing their imagination, vocabulary, comprehension, and understanding people, feelings and characters. Whatever works I say ❤️

Wow - this could potentially affect so many young people's chance of gaining a degree 😬 What are your thoughts?

No English and maths GCSE, no university student loan, plans say It's part of new government proposals to shake up England's higher education system.

Learning how to move my business online was scary to start with, but there are plenty of clear benefits to online tuition 👩‍💻👏 most of my tutees are still local and personal recommendations, but I now work with tutees from all over the country and a few abroad!

1. Efficient - high impact and intensive ⏰
2. No travel involved 🏠🚗
3. Promotes independence, confidence and ownership of learning ✍
4. Improves IT skills and future skills for work 👨‍💻
5. Environmentally friendly - less paper and waste 🌍
6. Sessions can still continue in bad weather or if feeling a bit unwell ☔❄🌩
7. A way of having human social connection without the risk of infection 👋

I've had a few enquiries from Y11 needing some last minute help. I'm looking at starting up another small group to support and have just taken on another tutor to help out too. If you know anyone else in this boat, let me know and I'll get it set up ASAP. I've got a soft spot for a Y11 in need! 😆🙈 please share and let friends know 🙏

This once quiet young man is now full of banter! He keeps me on my toes 😆 He's really come out of himself and is clearly much more confident. This week he'd annotated 3 GCSE poems independently in advance of the session without being asked! 👏🎉 I nearly fell off my chair! 🤪

Here’s a poem about some of the many things I didn’t achieve this year.

It’s called ‘This was the year that was not the year’.

I'm really proud of this student. She's gone from a student who barely spoke, to being a complete chatterbox 🤣 and now rated 'Outstanding' in comprehension - an accolade only given to 2 students in her year group. Her 11+ aspirations for next year are looking favourable 🤞
