Work started this morning on creating the next stage of our outdoor learning provision.
We have been working hard on making our vision come to life and planning the curriculum we will start teaching in September. We anticipate this will launch with Den Building skills over the first half of the autumn term. Classes from EYFS to Year 6 will visit our new Outdoor Classroom and the outdoor areas on the Junior site for at least two afternoons every half term.
The Federation will be closed for INSET training tomorrow (Friday 14th) - which will be led by the Hampshire Outdoors team, training staff to deliver our fully sequenced and progressive 'Outdoors' Curriculum.
Thank you to the Friend of the Woolton Hill Schools for their incredible fundraising efforts that has made this exciting project possible.

Learning was brought to life this week for pupils in tears 1 & 2 who all participated in a History workshop about Guy Fawkes. The children acted out the story of The Gunpowder Plot, engaged in freeze frame, recited the poem 'Remember, Remember the 5th of November, adding actions, played a true or false quiz and played a game to guess who the conspirators were. They also signed old documents with quill pens that they had made themselves. Well done to all involved.
The children have been reading the story of The Gingerbread Man this week and have been writing about him in 'Drawing Club'. They've also made their own gingerbread men which they'll be bringing home tonight. We hope they enjoy eating them.
