Burghclere Pre-School & Toddler Group

Just a reminder pre school has two inset days on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd of September. We return on Wednesday 3rd. This is our 1st Wednesday of the month so drop off and collection will be via the side gate. We are looking forward to seeing you all

Our vegetables and flowers are growing fast.

Burghclere Preschool are looking for a full time staff member. The successful candidate must hold a level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years. Hours and pay to be discussed. The role is term-time only.

If you are picking up today, please stay as safe as possible. The team won’t be leaving until everyone has been collected safely! There is no rush. Please get here as close to 3pm as you can, safely!!

Come and listen to what we’ve been up to this year and hear how you can potentially help the preschool going forward.

There will be refreshments - so just enjoy an evening with adults and no children 🤭

Just a reminder Bags 2 School are in tomorrow Weds 20th September. Please drop any bags before 9am and put them under the porch as the weather is not looking good.

If you need any more bags please let me know.

We are looking forward to seeing some familiar and new faces this coming term. We start back on Tuesday 5th September, Monday 4th is an inset day.

Sports day, family picnic & summer raffle taking place on the sports field (where the Easter hunt was - behind the hall)

Picnic blankets are recommended and bring a picnic for yourselves as well as kiddies!

On Thursday

Please can the children turn up in the morning, in their sports / PE type kit.

Remember sun cream and sun hats for the kiddies!

Burghclere Pre - School are looking for Bank Staff to support the setting as and when needed. Qualifications in childcare are desired but not mandatory.
You would need to be available at very short notice as this would be to mainly cover any staff sickness, courses or other appointments.
What you need - You need to have a calm, caring and nurturing nature. Be able to interact and understand the importance of working with Early Years children.

Soon we shall be having a new group for Burghclere Preschool which only parents will be allowed to join!

Keep an eye out! I shall invite as many parents as I can BUT I don’t have everyone on Facebook so please can you invite other parents etc that you notice arent on there yet?

Melissa is leaving to have her baby at the end of the month!

We are collecting money to buy her some very useful John Lewis gift vouchers for when her little one arrives.

Please could you give any cash gifts to Hayley or a member of staff on the door (not melissa!!). Alternatively please give to Sarah Lovelock or Feebee Benjamin (Barnaby or Henry’s mummy’s!)
If you’re unsure who they are, please ask other parents to point you in the right direction, as one of them is usually around.

If bank transfer is easier please send to the preschools bank account with reference MELISSA GIFT.

Sorry for the short notice but we need all monetary gifts by Wednesday next week.

Having spent time in the preschool - Melissa does so much for ALL of our little ones, it would be great to send her off on maternity leave with a bang!

Following the success of our open day last week we’ve had a couple of calls worrying they couldn’t come and look around outside of the open day!

We welcome visitors daily for potential September or January intake!!

Email Hayley on [email protected] and come and see our wonderful setting for your 2-4 year old!

Remember we’re open 5 days a week and can accept full government funding (15/30 hours!)
