Christopher Grey is an and runs his own group of practices with his partner Elizabeth, which will reach their 30th Anniversary next year!

Martyn Howlett FBDO is a senior in the eye care team at SeeAbility providing vital services for children in special needs schools and vulnerable young adults. Since Martyn joined the Spectacle Makers at the age of 21 it has been a privilege to watch his progression professionally and within the Company.

Georgina Myers is the director at Myers La Roche following the footsteps of her family's business, providing business consultancy and advice to many optical practices.

Paul Ryb was an investment banker, but after an early diagnosis of AMD and the subsequent loss of central vision his career pivoted and adapted. He now advises organisations on funding and developing ophthalmic innovations and diversity and inclusion.

Andrew Yorke is the managing director of Topcon Great Britain, responsible for manufacturing OCT machines (among many other things) and is a past Chair of the OSA and the BCLA.

Topcon (Great Britain) Medical and OcuPlan are teaming up to run 5 evening events over May, June and July. The two-part sessions will enable delegates to secure 6 CPD points in one evening. The sessions cover the following domains: leadership & accountability, communication and professionalism, and are accredited for optometrists and dispensing opticians.
The GOC & Optical Consumer Complaint Service (OCCS) have highlighted communication with patients as a significant factor in complaints, stressing the ability to communicate effectively as an important competency for optical professionals. Our collaboration will utilise content from the OCCS to deliver a series of 6-point CPD events to provide insight and a new essential resource to alleviate any concerns over discussing AMD with patients and the associated time constraints of a busy practice.
Each event includes two sessions, both designed to be highly engaging and interactive. The first session allows delegates to discuss three redacted case studies indicative of OCCS complaints, the second session will focus on harnessing the power of the OCT to provide the highest level of patient care. Delegates will learn about the advances in imaging techniques and diagnosis of ocular pathology.
