In this series of posts, we would like to give those of you considering a role at Gekko Group a flavour of . What it’s like to work here, what we have to offer and why Gekko can be a great career choice is best said by some of the people we’re proud to have on the team…
First up is Alex one of our Account Directors who has progressed through several roles since he first joined us over five years ago. This is his story:
I joined Gekko back in 2018 as a Field Based Contact Centre Trainer. Two years later I had a temporary break with another business before being lured back to Gekko in 2021 on a temporary contract as a Market Manager to cover maternity leave. A few months into the Market Manager role, the opportunity to transfer to my old position as a Contact Centre Manager came up and I was successful. Six months later I was promoted to Regional Sales Manager and then following this I was promoted again to National Sales Manager. Shifting to the present day, I have recently taken on a new role based at Gekko HQ as one of the client Account Directors. This transition from field to office has been amazing and it has been made an easy one thanks to the very open and friendly onboarding and cross-team engagement.
This continuous career progression and professional growth opportunities have been one of the main highlights of my time at Gekko. Gekko has always encouraged my personal development through training and development, and this support has helped me advance in my roles over the years.
Since working at Gekko, my managers and trainers have immersed me in client engagement and reporting, strengthening my experience and making my transitions easier. There’s been plenty of opportunities for growth and progression which is why I highly recommend Gekko as a company to work for.
