This special coffee from comes from the highly revered coffee growing region of Huila, Colombia.

With tasting notes of raspberry coulis, passionfruit, papaya & florals, this coffee has undergone a thermal shock, yeast inoculated processing.

The producer, Edinson Argote, is part of a new generation of coffee farmers in Colombia looking to boost the quality within the existing market and this coffee is a testament to their hard work.

Edinson Argote will be available to try at Piccoloco over the coming weeks brewed as an espresso or filter, but we think it works best as filter!

Full-Time Barista Required at Piccoloco! ☕️

We are looking for a passionate barista to become a key part of the team and Piccoloco’s future.

A keen interest in specialty coffee and a curiosity to experiment with new coffees are essential. Additionally, the ability to provide honest customer service and a willingness to assist with other roles within the shop when needed are crucial.

This is a 5-day per week role, but requires flexibility to work any day of the week, including weekends.

Over the next few weeks and months we will have a variety of coffees on offer roasted by Josh at Swan Song Coffee!

Up first we have three coffees that will be available either on filter or espresso. If you really like any of them, you can also buy a bag of beans to enjoy at home 🎉

1) Masha, Burundi 🇧🇮
- Process: OroYeast Fully Washed Process
- Tasting Notes: Stonefruits, Red Apple & Dark Chocolate

2) Finca Esther, Panama 🇵🇦
- Process: Anaerobic Slow Dried Natural
- Tasting Notes: Cola, Yuzu, Tamarind

3) El Jaragual, Colombia 🇨🇴
- Process: Thermal Shock Washed
- Tasting Notes: Passionfruit, Watermelon, Rosehip, Florals

For the next few weeks and months, Piccoloco will be stocking a range of different single origin coffees from Oddy Knocky Coffee!

These coffees will be available to try brewed as a pourover V60, on our batch brewer or even as an alternative to our house blend on espresso.

If you really like them you will also be able to purchase a bag to take home and enjoy!

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Castle Capers and Gang Show in Newcastle-under-Lyme and we can’t wait to perform for you at the Mitchell Arts Centre from the 2nd - 6th of April 2024!

You may or may not recognise Darren Taylor from Taylor’s Flowers. Well, he’s the man who has kept Piccoloco looking vibrant and colourful over the years.

He has currently got a wide selection of primulas, spring bulbs, bellis, pansies for spring bedding and various perennials along with fresh flowers on his stall 💐🪴

Darren usually trades on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays but he will also be open tomorrow for Valentines Day!

Rainy days at Piccoloco are meant for two things: drinking coffee and reading a good book 🌧️📚☕️

After three and a half months of renovations, a number of late nights and two weeks of soft opening, our brand new Specialty Coffee Shop is officially open for business this Saturday 4th November!

Whether you’re into a hand brewed V60 filter coffee or a classic cappuccino, there will be lots happening this weekend, showcasing the food and drink that we have on offer.🤩

There will be a number of demonstrations showing the different ways in which coffee can be enjoyed, as well as the opening food menu being served all day.☕️🥯

For those wondering, the Horse Trailer will also be open as usual on the Stones for the general market!

We hope that you can come down and see us in action for the first time (officially)!!
