Hi Everyone,

Just had a strange notification on Facebook with a lot of other pages similar to myself that have been mentioned on it. If you receive any unusual messages etc from my page please let me know ASAP.

Not sure if anyone else has had this and it’s a scam or legit 🤷‍♂️

Hope you’re all well

We’ve all been here, joints in the neck often become restricted and the muscles can become sore if we are stuck in one position for too long. Try some gentle movements and stretches away from the pain, such as turning towards the other side, shrugging your shoulders also works well.

You can try to help the pain by using cold packs or heat packs (wrapped in a cloth) for 10-15 minutes every few hours

If you are still struggling get yourself booked in with your local Osteo

Very relatable!

Most joint clicks and cracks are normal and nothing to worry about, sometimes they need attention. Try some stretching and exercises to mobilise the joints and ‘oil the hinges’

If you’re still concerned get yourself booked in to see someone.

Seen quite a few foot aches and pains in the last few weeks.

Here’s an example of some exercises to promote strength, stability and mobility

Some confusion on one of the questions from this weeks wisdom Wednesday quiz, hopefully this helps to make it clear….

The wrist is a complex region of many small joints, these joints give us a large range of motion and dexterity.

We use our wrists all day but rarely look after them. Try some of these movements on a regular basis!

I know one image says for carpal tunnel but they are useful regardless if you have the condition of not!

The lower back is the most common area treated by almost all manual therapists, try some of these exercises a few times a week (everyday if you can manage it) to keep mobile

Looking for recommendations of an embroidery service around south Cheshire/ Stoke/ Newcastle areas.

The place I have previously used is no longer in business and unfortunately the others I have contacted haven’t replied.

Discs don’t slip!

I’ve always wondered where the term slipped disc has come from. It’s not physically possible for a disc to slip.

It can reduce in height, degenerate, become compressed, tear, bulge and it can herniate, but the anatomy of the spine doesn’t allow it to ‘slip’.

For some reason it’s become a widely used term even with many practitioners and doctors 🤷‍♂️

🚚———> Monday
(where have the last few weeks gone?!? 😵‍💫)

From Monday 23rd May I will be back at Jubilee2. I’m excited to see what the gym looks like after the refurb and getting back to familiar surroundings.

Have a great weekend!

Found this way funnier than it is 😆

Most clicks, cracks and pops can be harmless and normal. If there is also pain, weakness or locking of the joint seek help!

12/05/2022

Does a review get much better! 🤷‍♂️

As much as I love what I do I always look forward to weekends with this little guy! I’ve learnt a lot about the body watching his development over the last 15 months

Exercise is good for joints with wear-and-tear arthritis 03/05/2022

🙌🙌🙌

Finally some good public advice on Osteoarthritis, although I hate that they use the ‘wear and tear’ analogy.

Initially exercise should be modified and then progressively built up. Not being over eager and pushing the joint too much too soon is key.

Exercise is good for joints with wear-and-tear arthritis It may hurt, but exercise is beneficial for joints, experts say in guidance for doctors and patients.

Some of the signs and symptoms that we all can show when we're stressed. Not all symptoms apply to everyone and some are more common than others. Would you be able to recognise your signs?

It makes my day getting these reviews through 🤩 Getting this patient back to doing every day activities is why I do what I do!

Google reviews go a long way in helping other people find me, so if you do have a spare few minutes to write one please do. I appreciate every one of them!

I’m still working on getting my Facebook recommendations working properly…..If anyone knows how to do this on the New Pages Experience I’ll be forever grateful!

April is Stress Awareness Month and over the next few weeks I’ll be doing some posts about what stress is, how it can affect us and sharing some things we can do to help reduce our stress levels.

To start off here’s a post on what stress is and the immediate response it has on the body.

What do you want to know about stress? Let me know in the comments and I’ll do my best to cover it on a future post!
