Can one really call themselves a Geordie having never taken part in The Great North Run? That’s not a debate we’re about to get into! However, what’s surely not up for debate is how noble a task it is to take on such a challenge, in a bid to raise funding for worthy causes.
We’ve three lovely folks doing just that this weekend, Iain, Ebony and Ella will be raising funds for the , and respectively, and we hope you can join us in wishing them all the best for the challenge ahead. We’ll also pop their respective fundraising pages in our story should you wish to contribute to what are certainly worthy causes.

🍺 Red - - Sweet, fruity, and just a bit sour - lovely with our Crab Sandwich.
🍺 Steady Rolling Man - - A firm favorite here. Incredibly soft with a hint of tropical fruity hops, it's their vision of a perfect pale ale.
🍺 Tremens - - A strong, long-lasting, and very dry bitter - a real kick in the tongue.
🍺 Sauvignon Blanche - - A collab with Von Winning Winery, blending 80% Blanche beer and 20% Sauvignon Blanc wine - the result is a wheat beer with aromas of passionfruit and gooseberry, put simply a wonderful fusion of flavors.
🍺 Grapefruit - - Sparkling smooth unfiltered wheat beer naturally flavored with grapefruit. It's refreshing, tangy, and just a little sweet - perfect in the sun.

Boogie Fever from . A Berliner/style weisse, a blend of pills and wheat then soured giving a massive hit of zingy Raspberries - spritzy and incredibly sessionsble.
Our mate and forager 'Andy Mushroom' as he's affectionately known, has been down the coast and collected some wonderful sea vegetables for us.
We've an abundance of Sea Purslane, Sea Aster and Arrow Grass on the menu right now thanks to his latest haul.
As we couldn't get Andy to pose for a picture (both his identity and his real name are a closely guarded secret, we don't even know it!) we had to ask Harry, especially since his mullet matches the leafy greens.
What Fridays on the Quayside are all about - Beer Battered Haddock with Chips, Mushy Peas and Tartare Sauce.

Happy St. George's Day, which traditionally hailed the start of the proper mushroom season in England as St. George mushrooms (hence their name) first start showing themselves across the country around April 23rd.
We've these Spring-time beauties on our menu served with Organic Salmon and White Asparagus.
