As housing services has now moved to the council, we wanted to remind you all of the importance of checking identity badges before letting anyone into your home.
Everyone who delivers housing services will carry a Newcastle City council ID badge. If someone shows you a YHN ID badge, then don’t let them into your home.
If someone has the wrong badge, or you aren’t sure whether they are genuine please call 0191 278 7878 to confirm their identity.
We are currently experiencing issues receiving calls into our Contact Centre. We are working with our supplier to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
From today, housing services has now moved to Newcastle City Council. This means that the council will deliver all housing services including supported living, repairs and maintenance and homelessness prevention. Previous YHN social media channels are still available, but you might notice that the names of these accounts have now changed.

Our Story
We are an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) responsible for managing council homes on behalf of Newcastle City Council.
We were set up in 2004 to manage council properties and to provide a range of support services for Newcastle City Council.
We currently manage 26,700 council homes on behalf of Newcastle City Council and 330 homes on behalf of Leazes Homes.
We also manage 1,500 leasehold properties on behalf of Newcastle City Council.
