Jane has been a member of Primal since 2021 and is an absolute gem ⭐️
Jane is very consistent in attending the gym and taking part in SGPT and also lots of team training sessions, which she really enjoys💪🏼
Jane is always the first to volunteer for events, helping out in any way she can, be it volunteering, making her delicious cakes or being a cheerleader for her fellow gym members. Not only this, Jane also takes part in some of the bigger events like the Winter games and this year’s Primal Rox, where she was a part of a fantastic team of ladies, all pushing themselves out of their comfort zones.
Jane has recently set new goals which she is already working hard towards, ready for her holiday in December.
Keep smashing your goals Jane we really appreciate all of the extra work that you do for us (especially the cakes 🎂) 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Massive shout out to our lovely Victoria who completed her first marathon in York with her friend Louise at the weekend 🎉🎉
Months of diligent prep and hard work from Vic got her ready to run the furthest she has ever gone before 💪🏼
Vic started training for this earlier this year and had not run further than 10k before she started her training. Since then she has also run the Great North Run and a number of 10k races as well
We are all so proud of you Vic you are amazing 🤩

⭐️ Member spotlight - Alex Hurst ⭐️
Since day 1, Alex has been so easy to coach, listening to every bit of information and guidance he’s given, and acting like a sponge for that knowledge
All of the coaches are so impressed with how far along he’s come in such a short space of time. It’s clear how much Alex has learned in his time already, and the understanding he has of how to push himself just the right amount, trying to increase his weights, without ego lifting
Every week Alex is getting stronger and fitter, and it’s clear to see in every one of his sessions. Alex has also seen some incredible results on the Inbody thanks to his impressive consistency in attending the gym
Since joining, Alex has gain 2.4kg of muscle, while still dropping over 7kg overall, and dropping an incredible 9% body fat
With his level of consistency, training 5 sessions a week, every week, it’s hard to see that trend stopping! Well done Alex, fantastic results, and keep training like you do, we can’t wait to see just how far you’ve come in the next 6 months

This weekends spotlight is Gary Strong 💪🏼
Gary has been a member at Primal for a number of months now and has come on leaps and bounds. If you have ever been in a session with him you will know he is really friendly and works incredibly hard.
Gary has never had a late cancel or no show to a session and this commitment to training is showing through in his results.
Having come from a local gym just using machines and not really knowing what to do, Gary now focuses on his compound lifts and has built some serious strength most notably getting 3 reps on 160kg deadlift and 145kg for 6 on squats.
Happy with his strength Gary is now on a cut trying to trim up a little more while maintaining his strength so has new nutritional targets and is taking part in some of the team training sessions.
The team are looking forward to seeing the progress you make going forwards and can’t wait to support you.

This week’s Spotlight is for none other than Siobhan Penny Webber 🙌🏻
Penny came back to Primal in February after being away for a while and the dedication she has shown since is off the charts. She has been attending the gym 5 times per week and absolutely blasting every session she’s been in, especially the HYROX which she has been getting way better at compared to only a few months ago💪🏼
Just goes to show how much you can achieve in a few months when you put your mind to it 😎
Penny’s results clearly show this. Since April, Penny has lost an impressive 6.5kg whilst maintaining muscle mass and dropping her BF% from 36.6% to 34.3%. She is now almost back to her lowest bodyweight ever, but her body fat percentage is now the lowest it has ever been!!!
That shows incredible commitment and hard work 👏🏼👏🏼

This week’s Spotlight is for Guy 💪🏼
Guy has been a member at Primal since September 2023. And he has been really hard working since day 1.
He always listens to the coaches and has shown great dedication to his training. He is always super fun to coach and really friendly to everyone that trains alongside him.
He has made tremendous progress since he started training at Primal, losing a total of 10kg of bodyweight.
Recently, Guy has been putting in extra work in and out of the gym and he has been making huge progress. In the last two months he has put on 2kg of muscle and dropped 3% body fat, which is absolutely incredible! He has also managed to increase his bench from 40kg to 60kg on bench press for reps. We are all super impressed with his achievements, but we know that this is only the beginning for him and he will make so much more progress in the future!

This week’s Spotlight is for Becky Hayes!
Becky has been training at Primal since October last year. And what an amazing few months it’s been! Becky has lost an incredible 8kg of body weight.
When she started, her bodyweight was 83kg and it’s not 75kg. Becky has also dropped her body fat from 39% to 31% 🔥
These results are absolutely amazing and we couldn’t be any happier, especially considering she has added muscle mass in the process!
Becky has shown incredible dedication. She is always ready to smash her session and give it her all and the progress she has made in the weight room is incredible.
Becky has gotten so much stronger and experienced and she has gained a lot of confidence in the gym too which we can all see and we really appreciate!
But it hasn’t always been easy for Becky. She has been struggling with a bit of knee pain over the last few months, which has made it harder to keep moving forward. Becky, however, hasn’t let that stop her at all. She has worked with the coaches and her physio to come up with a plan to help her rehab her knee and it has definitely been helping 💪🏼💪🏼
Your attitude is absolutely amazing Becky! You are super friendly, very dedicated and you always listen to the coaches’ advice.
We can’t wait to see the amazing progress you will continue to make in the future if you keep training this hard.

This week’s Spotlight is for our new superstar, Jade Liddle 💪🏼
Jade just joined us on a 6 week challenge and her improvement has been off the charts. With incredible commitment, motivation and the positive influence of Alan and Maria Cuthbertson the results she has achieved are absolutely amazing 🙌🏻💪🏼
Are you ready? Jade has dropped almost 6kg and brought her BF% down from 37 to 30% in just 5 weeks👏🏼👏🏼
Jade has been incredibly dedicated and consistent. She has never missed a session and has always been super keen to learn new exercises and get better in every session💪🏼
We are really happy with how well she is doing. Now it’s time to keep being consistent and make some muscle gains to go with that incredible transformation 🤩

This week’s Spotlight is on the machine, Hannah Nelson 💪🏼
Hannah has been a member of the gym for a little over a year and originally joined after not feeling challenged at her previous gym. It’s safe to say that she has certainly been challenging herself since joining and has made some crazy progress! What is also great for Hannah is that her partner Darren also trains with us at Primal as well, and what is very apparent is the competition between them. They both train really hard and show great energy and motivation whenever they’re in. 🔥
Speaking of competition, Hannah is just coming off the back of testing week and hit two new PB’s on her bench press (50kg two sets) and hip thrusts. The latter was a big one because at 210kg, it matched Darren’s current PB, to which Hannah took great satisfaction with that! Haha 🙌🤣
Hannah does a mix of PT and Team Training due to having a busy work and home life, however, in recent months she built up some solid consistency and that has shown in both her strength and endurance. 💪
Overall, you are a joy to coach and we love having you here at Primal! Keep bringing your energy and drive because there’s way more to come. ❤️
