In an effort to protect my business. I am having to introduce a charge for cancelling on the day of an appointment, or not being in for your appointment. My minimum charge for an oven clean is £45, so this will be the amount required in order to rebook a new appointment.
When this happens, it results in me losing money. Sometimes adding up to hundreds of pounds in a week.
I don’t want to go down the road of taking deposits, as I deal with a lot of elderly customers who don’t like the idea of paying upfront for a service for fear of scammers. Which I understand.

I am increasingly having to chase customers for payment, sometimes over a week late. Which is not acceptable, as you wouldn’t expect to pay for your shopping a week after you get it. And as a small business, it can have a big impact on cash flow etc.

Hi, just letting all of my customers know that from 1st of June 2023, I will be adjusting my prices. I have avoided doing so for as long as possible, but all of the products that I have to purchase to clean the ovens have gone up several times. I have kept the increases as small as possible, as I do not wish to put my services out of reach to people. So the new prices will be as follows…
Standard Single oven £45
Double oven £55
1 door range cooker £70
2 door range £80
3 and 4 door range £90
Neff slide and hide oven £55
All oven cleans will still come with a free hob and cooker hood clean.
