Storm Ashley, the first named storm of the season, is now battering the UK. As gale-force winds howl at speeds up to 81 mph and rain lashes down, communities across the nation may face significant challenges.

Since she arrived at Rainbow Restoration Hampshire, Sussex & Isle of Wight, Evie has travelled 3,473 miles in total and 723 miles since her last update.

Today we're raising awareness about cardiac arrest and the vital importance of CPR training. At Rainbow Restoration UK, we're proud to play our part in saving lives.

Research from First Aid for Life has shown that deploying a defibrillator within 3–5 minutes of onset or collapse can produce a 50–70% survival rate. Using quality CPR in combination with this can increase the odds of someone’s survival from around 6% to 74%.

We have been partnered with the The Oliver King Foundation to train our network and supply defibrillators since mid-2023. We currently have placed 15 defibs across our network – and we're not stopping there! 💙

Yellow rain warnings issues with threat of flooding! ⚠️

The Met Office has issued multiple yellow weather warnings for rain, effective immediately through Tuesday in parts of England and Wales. 🌧️

Despite a break from the rain over the weekend, the ground remains very sodden and river levels are high.

It’s estimated that three to four months’ of rain has fallen in parts of Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Herefordshire already this September!

58 flood warnings are currently in effect and as a result, some buildings could be damaged, and there is also a chance of delays or cancellations on trains and buses.
