One of my favourite spins. Merino fibre and silk noils, core spun, then supercoiled. The supercoiling really opens up the fibres making beautiful airy puffs. Also loving my new niddy noddy from very handy being adjustable. dyed

I do occasionally like to add a little sparkle to my carded batts. Never been able to find exactly the colours I wanted so got the dyes out today and made my own. Can’t imagine ever using up this quantity so I’ll be listing some for sale in the next few days

After successfully working my way through 4 alpaca fleeces, I’m finally getting to have some fun on my new A mix for merino and hand dyed silk noil, wool nepps and a few locks.

Has anyone any experience with an original Harrison Sock Machine? It’s working, I’ve managed to knit a tube but there is a ribber attachment and a tin of small needles that I’m guessing are for the ribber. I really don’t want to damage this machine experimenting so if anyone has any advice , do’s and don’t etc. I would be very grateful. It has an amazing history, stored in a ww2 shell crate it worked through that war turning out socks for soldiers.
