A nice night for a Prom. This was Ryan and Samuels prom night, from Thetford, where the pickup is like car show!, to Barnham Broom .

I think the guys enjoyed the experience.

What a beautiful bride. Blue Knight are very proud to have been a part of Billy and Isabella's big day today. The rain held off for their church service at Elveden and the reception venue at Great Ellingham looked to set for a good night. Congratulations to you both.

By the way people, despite a number of threats from the 'Social Media Veiled Tricksters Department ' or whatever they want to call themselves today.... We're still here, haven't been blocked, hacked or had our service altered in any way whatsoever...so don't fall for these things. Just ignore them .

And, despite a fine shower of rain at the worst time - Last night we conveyed Ollie and the lovely Amelia to their Prom at the Maltings in Ely. A good crowd outside, I hope the rest of the evening went well.

Welcome to the new year. already have enquiries for dates this year for both Prom and Weddings.
Just for info the Rolls is available as always and this year I have changed the back up vehicle - the Daimler subject of a number of photo's on the page has gone and is replaced by a rather 'Mafia' Staff car looking Range Rover Vogue in black, with tinted rear windows, side steps for ease of access and additional chrome exterior detailing. She has adjustable air suspension for ease of access and superb comfort. Inside she is tan leather and 'fully loaded with just about every electrical gadget known, including heated front and rear screen, heated front and rear seats, dual system climate control - and a Casette player to go with the radio and CD player.

I'll add some nice photos when the weather allows.

Blue Knight join the rest of the community in expressing our deepest sadness at the passing of Queen Elizabeth II today. A great lady, she will be sadly missed and fondly remembered for all her grace and integrity.

We pledge our continued allegiance to the monarchy, God Save the King.

Bit late with these photo's. Blue Knight stepped in at short notice and assisted Kelsie with her wedding transport in Southery on 20th August. Here is a selection of photo's I managed to get of the lovely bridesmaids and other 'support staff' involved. I'm hoping Kelsie will be able to provide me with one or two of the Happy Couple later on.....

Well, I'd say that went well....

Today I did an underhand sneaky thing - with encouragement of the mother of the bride I took part in a suprise wedding car for a lovely lady whom I have watched grow up as a friend. Due to the sneaky nature of the event I don't have any photographs - as yet - but hope that her friends will forward some to me to put on here.

Gemma, you looked smashing and the 'Steam Punk' Theme carried well through the wedding party at the ceramony.

I wish you well for the future and hope the rest of this weekend of celebration goes well for you and your husband.

Sorry to have been a sneak, but the look on your face as I pulled up outside yours was a true picture.

So, on the hottest day of the year - so far - how do I relax? Dust off and clean the car? clean the windows - Oh no! Not me. I'm sweating my bits off in the garage - spray painting flowers.... Yes, you read right, I'm spray painting roses and crysanthe...crisyanthmum - oh bu**er it, lots of other flowers to colour match for my next bride

No, I'm not giving anything away, no photo's and no colours - don't want to spoil the surprise.....

And I really want to talk about todays bride and groom - and thank them for their kind gift - but out of respect for their photographer, my daughter Charlotte, I won't break the Social Media barrier until she has processed her photo's and the bride is content with them.... So, hang on, it'll be on here soon..

Maybe even the 'Atfer the photographer left' I snapped outside the departure address, if she'll allow it...😜

I have taken the opportunity here to reitterate the 'Special History' associated with the 1985 Rolls Royce Silver Spur C61BYL as this page developes the history of the car gets further and further back and I thought it ought be bought to the fore again.

1985 was the year that the world celebrated 100years of motoring - and coincidently Rolls Royce celebrated the production of their 100,000th vehicle. To celebrate this Rolls Royec produced a 'One Off' Special Edition of their current car, the Silver Spur. This was the Centenary Silver Spur and came in a Royal Blue, with cream Hooper Leather interior, walnut door panels, picnic trays in the back of the front seat and a pair of drinks decanters and four crystal glasses in the centre console .... This vehicle is in the Rolls Royce museum on display.

So popular was the original vehicle that Rolls Royce elected to produce 25 Limited Edition copies of the 'Centenary Spur' of which 12 were distributed in the UK the rest went world wide.

The Centenary Edition Silver Spur was special order, the purchaser had to visit Rolls Royce and place their order and finalise any special features they required and the car was manufactured to order and delivered upon completion - complete with a solid silver plaque in the glove box nominating who the car was ordered by.

C61BYL is number 18 of those 25 and her plaque - and accompanying documents - state that she was ordered by The 8th Earl SPENCER, the father of Lady Diana SPENCER, wife to Prince Charles and mother of Princes WILLIAM and HARRY and was on his fleet at Althorpe House in the mid 80's and has been used by Diana and her sons for Royal occasions.... There is a scuff in the rear offside roof lining that is proported by previous owners to have been caused by one of Diana's Tiara's - but I have no evidence to confirm this....neither have I any to refute the claim either.....

So She truely is transport fit for a Prince or Princess...

It was a real pleasure to be part of Millie (in Blue) and Ruby (in Pink) Prom event in Haverhill. The ladies looked great and seemed to enjoy their ride to Prom. I think their outfits complemented the colour of the Rolls Royce superbly.

Something a little different for the first of the 2022 engadgements. We took the Groom and his Best Man to their ceramony at the lovely Hockwold Hall in Norfolk.

And then remained for the wedding and evening celebrations before running the lovely Elizabeth and Margaret back to their overnight accomodation...

Alright, I confess. The Groom, Brynn, is my Godson, Elizabeth is one of my daughters and Maragaret the 'Auntie' of us all....kinda a family outing.

Shame about my photography skills, the rear window dressing looked really smart, honestly and matched the florists colours quite nicely....

Congratulations to Brynn and 'Tor, his lovely bride - and thank you for a wonderful day.

I have had a couple of enquiries and some firm bookings for the upcoming season - so I took the bull by the horns and booked the Rolls Royce into a garage to have her checked for her MOT.

Thank you to Stuart and his associates at Contact Garage on Studlands Park in Newmarket for taking over the care of this venerable old lady - in fact I'm fairly sure that the car is older than the mechanics involved - it's a shame that Goldings have moved on but it is noice to know that there are still 'mechanics' who can work on older vehicles in town and show them the respect that they deserve.

By the way, she passed. So now, after I have paid for her Excise Licence, she is legal and ready for use so if you are thinking of taking the plunge and need transport, do consider our service and give us a call.

And congratulations to Vanessa and her husband on their wedding yesterday. A murky wedding day in Bury St Edmunds at the Athaenum and a small wedding group. Hope the future serves you both well. And I'm sure the groom's shoes aren't really cursed. Third time lucky.
