I want to say a massive thank you to everybody involved in helping me look for Ziggy at Castle Haven yesterday after he suddenly bolted! From the bottom of my heart, everybody’s help made a very difficult day, a lot better.
I kept looking for him after dark and finally found him back at my van 9:40pm (9 hours later!) cold, wet and tired, but most importantly safe!

Speaking to tracker teams, I wasn’t aware just how common this was, so I’d like to share what I did to get him back incase it helps anybody else in future who loses a dog. Every dog is different but it seems Ziggy was very scared, so was likely in hiding, and came out once everybody had left and the area was calm. The scariest thing was we had zero sightings the whole day. I kept retracing our walk and looping round, and had left my vehicle open for him, with a familiar scent left inside. Eventually he managed to get back to my van and jump inside - the clever little boy!

Happy 2nd birthday to my buddy Barney!! Not the easiest to catch a photo of was he only stays still for 0.5 seconds 😂 so much love and energy to give with this little wholesome golden guy! 🧡

Apologies to anybody who’s tried to get in touch since 6pm last night… who knew SIM cards could just break?!

I am now officially set up on a new e-sim (feels very futuristic and I’m not sure if I like the fact there’s no physical sim 😂) but I am on the same number and back contactable!

When I first took on Kolbe, at the grand old age of 13 and a half, I vowed to myself not to get too attached as I knew she was enjoying her twilight years and losing a dog is so hard. This however proved impossible and over the last year Kolbe carved a special place in my heart, catering our group walks to ones she was able to join with us.
Yesterday we said goodbye to her, a wonderful age of 14 and a half. Utterly heartbroken but feeling so privileged I got to experience this last year and all of the seasons through with her 🩶

Another belated birthday wishes to lovely little Amber, 2 last weekend! She is such a character, the sweetest little beagle but will tell her sister Ruby off if needed! She may look like a beagle but has the traits of a terrier, and can be trusted off lead unlike her cheeky sister 😂
